"Let's go for a smoke," Jimin drags me outside. It is getting a bit stuffy inside, so I go with with him although I won't smoke.

We step out on the terrace and see someone sitting on the chair, her face lit up just by the phone she's holding.

She turns it off and faces us.

The smile on her face brings one to mine, too.

"Happy New Year," Grace says once we sit down at the table.

"You too," I say back while Jimin lights up his cigarette.

"What are you doing out here in this cold?" Jimin asks her.

"Oh I just called my friends to wish her a good year," she answers him and shakes her head no when he offers her a smoke, "No, thank you."

"You're just as boring as him," Jimin pouts and looks at me. "This year I vow to make my friends have more fun," he looks at me again and I roll my eyes.

"That's your resolution?" Grace asks him, she sounds a bit surprised.

"My one and only," Jimin laughs, it's obvious he just made it up and Grace sees through him now, too. "Do you have any?"

"I don't really believe in resolutions, but I made a promise to myself," she answers. I don't see the point in resolutions either. Why change your entire life for a month and then fall in your old ways.

"And what's that?" I finally join the conversation.

"I'm going to buy myself a new telescope," she answers simply and I smile. I did not expect to hear this.

"Cool," Jimin says before finishing his cigarette. "Well, I'm cold and thirsty," he looks at the empty glass in front of Grace, "and your glass is empty," he picks it up, "let's get you a new drink."

We head inside and find our way to the kitchen.

"What are you drinking?" Jimin asks Grace, he already knows what I'm drinking.

"Wine," she says and looks for it, but all she finds is an empty bottle.

"Don't worry, I'll make you something delicious," Jimin says once he reads the situation.

Grace looks at the bottle of gin in Jimin's hands and then at me.

He's making her a peach gin and tonic, and I assure her it's going to be delicious.

Delicious and also a bit dangerous. That's why I always drink straight gin and tonic. When you mix other things in, it's easy to get carried away, and then all of the sudden you're throwing up.

Grace takes a sip of her freshly mixed drink and her eyes are light up as she looks at Jimin and me.

"Told you," Jimin says with a pleased smirk and then runs off.

"Good?" I ask Grace when she stands next to me.

"Mhm," she takes another sip.

"So, a telescope, huh?" I ask her. I'm curious about this.

"I've always wanted one and I finally have enough money saved up," she beams.

"Is that what you're studying? Astronomy?" my guess was good because she looks at me in amazement.

"How did you know that?"

"Your stand at the Christmas fair and the telescope," I face her and don't miss how her cheeks are a little blushed.

"Oh, I thought you didn't remember me from there," she looks down at her drink, shyly.

How could I not remember her, I even drew her.
