I told her she didn't need to thank me, but she kept thanking, & apologizing to me, so I just told her to bring me a good dessert from the ballroom- I dunno if it's really allowed though.

As I was waiting for her, I soon grew sleepy, & staying awake seemed even harder than climbing thousand stairs. Soon, I had already dozed off without meaning to.

                                 ...

When I woke up, because of the loud rattle everything was dark, & I was shaking. Oh, I'm in a carriage, I soon realized.

My head was resting on someone's knees, probably my brother judging by the size.

'You're awake?' my brother said softly, & I didn't answer, but nodded my head. Which felt awkward on his knees.

'Phoeni, you shouldn't sleep carelessly in a place like that; many people come in there. And there might be perverts who might stare at your innocent face while you're sleeping as well,' he gritted his teeth as if he was imagining it... but he was being too specific, I doubt that it was just from his imaginations.

I wonder what happened to Selene... was it her staring at my face? No way, the female lead would do that, & if it was a girl, brother wouldn't sound this irritated. More importantly, did she meet the main male lead? She should've... but I'm not too sure since I interfered.

Ian would've helped her when she was getting bullied by the clowns like a true male lead, but since they weren't there to bully her, the first impressions might've become a little off.

... Well, they make plenty of impressions when they meet in the academy anyway. I don't have to worry, & torture my brain like this; besides, it's in the academy that all the main events start. The beginning isn't that important.

                                                        ...

And as I promised (to herself) I did sleep for a whole four days without even getting up from my bed, unless it was to eat, or pee.

When the fifth day came, I was refreshed, as good as new but there was another thing that was troubling my empty mind, to the point that my brain seemed to melt because of overwork.

It's the first month of summer, & it wasn't so hot that it was hard for me since we mostly ate cool desserts, & our mansion was pretty cool in summer as well.

'My lady, what's wrong?' Sally asked as I stopped eating the cold pudding; 'Ah, are you tired-'

'No. Where's brother?' I asked- that wasn't a thing I was particularly worried about.

'Oh, I see! My lady missed her older brother,' the maid clapped her hands, while saying in a not so surprised voice; 'Of course, my lady deeply loved her brother even before he went to the Nobles academy.'

'Hmm, yeah,' I agreed without even meaning to.

'Young lord is in training, though right now he's gone out to look for a weapon that fits him here.'

'Training?'

'Oh, yes. Our lord is so efficient at sword fighting-'

And, he loses to Ian who's at least 2 years younger than him?

'-he's the academy's honor student!'

Is he? That was never mentioned in the novel though... well, the heroine never paid attention to him, so of course that wouldn't be mentioned in the novel.

'My lady, would you like to see him train?'

'Hmm? I suppose that's fine,' I nodded without thinking too much.

'All right! I'll prepare snacks,' she said, & walked out excitedly. Finally, I was alone in my room with only the silence accompanying me.

'Seriously, what was that dream about?' I murmured to myself when I was sure that no one would hear me.

If it was any other, I would've just forgotten about it like usual, but I couldn't afford to forget it; it seemed all too familiar.

Like I was the only one in a void, but seeing through all. Glass shards that reflected not me, but were a doorway to something wholly new... and, I felt as if someone was calling me. In that void, that darkness with only me in there, someone was calling me... from somewhere.

'Ah, my head aches,' I muttered, shaking my head as if to get all the complicated thoughts out.

A/N; "Like I was the only one in a void, but seeing through all. Glass shards that reflected not me, but were a doorway to something wholly new... and, I felt as if someone was calling me. In that void, that darkness with only me in there, someone was calling me... from somewhere."

Anyone have a guess what that was? Please comment what you think it was, I would like to know your thoughts.
