I felt a little annoyed that I had to deal with the third male lead's temper after seeing the heroine, & main lead together.
But supposedly, this is the villainess's unwritten duty- to make the male leads feel more jealousy while ensuring that the heroine, & the main lead ends up together.
Thinking like that, I suddenly came to wonder how I ended up in a novel, or perhaps I'm not even in a novel. Maybe this is all just my delusion...
'Tsk,' he clicked his tongue, & stopped for a moment. Then went along, & stopped... and walked...
Can you just maybe... you know, get out of the freaking way if you're going  to be like that?
But of course, I didn't say that: because it was unnecessary to talk when you don't have to.
Beside that, he was obviously in a foul mood after seeing Selene, & Ian together. To the point, he went straight past me, after asking me a question because that is a very reasonable thing to do: asking a question, & just ignoring the reply.
He totally forgot about me though.
Well, that's fine as long as it doesn't get too troublesome.
Beside that, where should I go? I can't just keep following the third male lead.
Deciding on that, I stopped in my tracks, & waited until he completely disappeared from my sights. As expected, that took a long time because he kept... oh, whatever.
Agh... I'm feeling way too lazy to even think about it but beside that, this uneasy feeling won't stop bothering me. And strangely my intuition is usually right, as I believe anyway.
Humming thoughtfully, I glanced to my right, through the closed window that was possibly even larger than me in height.
That said... didn't I hear something from outside? Right. Though it's quiet in here, it's not perfectly silent. Because I can hear faint laughter coming from there... if I concentrate really hard.
Coming to that, I unlocked the seal holding the window together, & opened it- indeed, I could hear people talking. Very loudly at that.
There was no one in sight but as I leaned downwards I saw small figures walking to somewhere.
... Let's just jump out from here. I'm too lazy to go out by the exit even if I knew where it is.
Right. It doesn't look too high.
Beside that, there's a tree over there... just few meters away from the window... and a little lower. If I just climb down, then step on that railing and that... yep. That doesn't seem like that much work next to looking for the gate.
... Well, that was what I thought when I wasn't about to fall down from 5 floor height.
Only then, as I hung from there, my fingers barely holding on- slipping one by one, did I think... I might have a height fright.
At first, it was going exactly as I wanted to- I managed to reach the railing as I hung from the window edge, & then I was stepping down on the branch... when I heard a low crunch.
Just as I was wondering what that was, it broke down and I lost my grip...
I didn't even feel half as scared as this when I was about to die in that carriage...
'Urgh,' my lips were being bit down on hard, & my eyes felt as if they were being stung.
I tried to keep hold on the branch as I hung midair, & tried not to look down as much as possible.
If I fall down from here, I'll probably only break my two legs... only.
Well, the point is I'm not going to die if I fall from here, but despite that, & my laziness... I'm still holding on.
The gasp escaped my mouth as my one hand slipped.
My other arm was trembling... I wouldn't be able to hold on for long.
Tears fell down from my eyes... *sniff*
Can't someone just appear, & save me?
For some reason, the first person I thought of was...
                                🌺
His eyes flitted open as he heard a sob, revealing a pair of molten gold eyes.
'H... help,' the whisper was so quiet even he barely heard it.
It made no sense to ask for help so quietly. As if on purpose... to not have anyone hear.
With no expression or whatsoever, he stared at the figure dangling in the air.
'Please... I don't want to... again,' she was whispering with trembling voice.
'Don't let me go please... not this time...' the whisper soon turned even quieter.
   '...!'
Her one hand slipped. And now she was only holding on with one arm but  it seemed as if she wouldn't be able to hold on for long.
Watching quietly for a while, he turned away as if he hadn't seen a thing at all.
Whether they die or not, humans were none of his business after all.

A/N: it's like, literally cliffhanger.
