Chapter 2 - The Note

Arya P. O. V

I woke up in the morning and do my usual routine. Then I went downstairs to the dining room and was greeted by the Alfred. "Good morning Miss Arya." He said in his British accent. "Hey Alfred." I returned his greeting. I then started to make my morning coffee while waiting for Alfred to finish the pancakes. Damn his pancakes are like clouds from heaven. "Here you are Miss Arya." He said. "Thanks Alfred, you're the best." I thanked him. "You are quite welcome miss Arya." he replied.

A few moments later Bruce came down with his suit on. "Hey Brucee" I greeted him before taking some more coffee. I was a bit delirious today, probably because I only slept for 3 hours which I usually can handle but also because it was a really long night of patrol. I keep looking at screens on my day job and my extracurricular activities. But coffee always makes me feel better.

After breakfast, I went down to the cave to put on my suit. After that, I zeta beamed to the watchtower. If you were wondering why I'm going there in the day well, I didn't have any videos to record so I'm pretty much free... and bored. Which is why I'm going to the watchtower to hang out with some of the female leaguers. Wonder Woman is on full time hero and Black Canary is having a day off so we were going to hangout in the watchtower and maybe spar a little.

/In the watchtower/

Me, Wonder Woman, and Black Canary were hanging out in the cafeteria at the watchtower. "Okay, kiss, marry, kill, Superman, Hawkman, and the Flash." I said to Wonder Woman. We were playing kiss, marry kill but not in a romantic way, more like a ranking kinda way. "Uhh... marry Superman, kiss Flash, and kill Hawkman." she answered. "Did someone say kiss me?" Flash said flirtatiously after speeding over to our tabel. "We're just playing kiss, marry, kill Flash." BC (black Canary) said. "In a friend ranking kind of way, not romantically." I continued.

"Aren't you supposed to be in the CCPD right now?" I asked. "Nah, I'm taking the day off. Gotta run now, promised to help hal do something." He said, and with that he was gone... in a flash. (Pun intended)

"So where were we?" BC smiled and looked at me and asked. "Okay, Nightshade, kiss, marry, kill, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Hal Jordan." My eyes widened very slightly, not that they noticed it though. The truth is I kinda like Hal and I knew he liked me too but I wanted to wait for him to make the first move. "Uhh... tough one, definitely kill Gardner though. Between John and Hal... maybe kiss John and marry Hal." I said, trying to mask my feelings for Hal.

We sat at the cafeteria for a few more minutes but it started getting a little crowded. "Hey, should we go to the library instead? No one's hardly ever there." I stated. "Yea sure." said WW. "Then let's go." BC said while standing up.

After a few minutes of walking, we came across our rooms. Every leaguer has his/her own room. There was a standard bed, closet, and table in each room but we can personify them if we wanted to. Then we walked past my room and as we were talking, I saw something stuck to the door. "Wait" I said, before going to look closer at the note.

Dear Nightshade,

Meet me in the observatory at 4pm.

The message said. There was a Green lantern mark on the end and the ink was green. "Wow Nightshade, looks like a lantern is going to ask you out." WW said, I was to busy trying to figure out who wrote this though. It's definitely not Kyle because he's the creative one and he's one of my best friends and we pretty much friend zoned each other, definitely not Guy because as flirtatious as he is, he isn't one for subtlety. It's Definitely Hal, I know it is, John isn't even interested in me.

"Twenty bucks says it's from Hal." I say smirking at them. "Oooh tell me when the wedding is." BC teased. "Stop, it was just a game." I said laughing while elbowing her a little. I guess he is going to make the first move.
