the sound of steps are echoing on the cave wall. the person is walking through the path and when he sees the lake, he lightly steps on it.
chan from under the lake is reading a book when he hear a plop sound from the surface. he closes the book and put it on a rock that looks like table beside him. someone comes swimming towards him.
"who could that be?" seungmin, his roommate asks.
"probably felix"
"the cute freckled boy that you said you wanna drag him down here?"
"yes" chan smiles.
but seungmin doesn't seem so happy.
"that's too risky, chan. knowing that your coronation is in few more weeks"
chan sighs, "i know. i- i just love him too much, okay?"
"what if he doesn't want to?"
chan bites his lips. he never bite his lips unless it's a crazy idea.
seungmin shakes his head quickly, "no, chan. you can't do that"
chan ignores him then swims up to the surface. he put his signature smile when he thinks it is the red hair boy but turns out it is not as his smile fades quickly.
"oh. it was you" chan stays the place as he crosses his arms.
"i need you to stay away from felix"
chan scoffs, "oh i'm sorry, why should i listen to a traitor?"
"please, this is not a game"
"and you thought leaving our royal is a game to you?" chan snaps.
before the person can say another word, chan continues, "i'm suffering, knowing that the actual prince had gone from the royalty. and i got chosen by your father because he trusted me, when i'm just your servant! i don't want the crown, i want to be a normal citizen. and knowing that i've found my true love, the coronation doesn't make any better! do you even know how much we have been suffered just because by your action, prince lee minho?!"
minho sucks a breath. he absolutely has nothing to say. yes, it is his fault that he has been announced as missing on his coronation day, and his father has to take the responsibility longer than he has thought. his son is gone during the coronation and the king needs to find another truthfully one.
but he has found a lover, just like chan does. his lover is han jisung himself. he met him two years ago, that is why the younger boy has the necklace just like felix own. he ran away from the lake, just want to be with the love of his life and he has no regrets because he is happy with his new life now.
he doesn't even want to be a king at the first place, that's why he thought jisung is his saviour. he doesn't want felix get into any troubles. it is not that easy to hide your lover when the soldiers were looking for them.
"i love felix as my own brother and you should know that being with him only bring him closer into troubles between two worlds. i've been there, chan. i know how did it go if you aren't being extra careful. please, don't do this"
chan is being silent. but his next words only makes minho keeps his mouth shut and find another way.
"you do know once sirens are falling in love, they will do anything to be with the other"
