I've forgotten the smell of grass,

and how it made my eyes tear up.

I missed cherry blossom season

and the summer glow that I was promised.

All I had were the thunderstorms and rain

because I'm in England

and all the promises made to me were broken.

The coffee catchups are a thing of the past

and my makeup collects dust.

Now the world burns around me,

and I watch through a screen.
