Eliot's first sight was blue.

Blue stark bright hair slicked back of this pale lean stranger. He wore a crunched round white tee with skin tight black pants and black boots. He had the eyes of sweet husky grey that narrowed at her form.

"Who are you?"

The low timbre of his voice made her startle when she realized she was staring at him for an inappropriate too long a second.

"I can ask you the same thing." Folding her arms over her chest, his gaze dipped at her v neck pink cashmere sweater she donned on.

Moving up to her eyes, he released his hand from the frame. "I'm here for Elixir. I'm her friend, Octavius. Who are you?"

Why didn't that ring any bell? She had never met this man before nor has her sister ever spoken about him.

She had just arrived after a long flight from San Francisco and she was about to head to the grocery before she retired into her sleeping quarters when the doorbell had rung.

She was saved from answering his question when she heard her sister come up behind. "Octavius! What are you doing here? I thought you were on your usual trips with Ansel."

Eliot moved aside, allowing tall stranger to weave himself in, giving Elixir a long hug. "I am staying this time."

Okay...weird. They seemed friendly and familiar. How come her sister never mentioned him?

When they pulled apart, Elixir fiddled with her specs and introduced her. "This is Eliot, my twin. She is from San Francisco. We just came in from the airport."

"I didn't know you had a twin." He glanced back at Eliot. Not knowing why she felt weird all of a sudden, she just smiled politely and raised her hand.

"Hi! Pleased to meet you." He glanced at her hand and then like a chameleon, he changed. His smirk curled on those pink lips which were meant clearly for something else.

"Hello Eliot. Pleasure is all mine." His hand touched hers, shaking in a firm grip. She nodded like some damn solider as if she were in a presence of the Queen.

Maybe it was the jet lag.

Taking her hand away, she dusted it across her back. Slipping into her back pockets, she asked the two of them. "How did you guys meet?"

Elixir snorted and strode down the hallway and into the kitchen. Classy marble floors clicked with her heels as she spoke. "Octavius and I met in a country fair and we just hit it off but a pro tip, he flirts real bad."

A husky laugh followed as he went behind her, Eliot trailing after the two, peering at them like an owl.

He turned to her as they walked in the large kitchenette. "Not all the time."

She arches her brow. "So you guys are dating for how long?"

Evidently, both of them tensed. Did she ask the wrong question? She didn't even know what these two were but clearly something was up.

"No! God no. We are simply good friends." Elixir smiled at him as she threw some cut up vegetables onto the pan, giving them a stir.

Eliot sat on the counter, looking between the two. Something was going on and she was missing out.

Since as a child, Eliot had been the nosey one. She liked to poke head and get her hands dirty into other people's business.
