Cottagecore is similar to grandmacore, farmcore and in some senses fairiecore and goblincore, which are all nostalgia ridden core aesthetics.

It's like... it's hard to explain. The world is just so beautiful when it's fields (I talk about them a lot btw) and baking and crafts. But it's so hard to put on paper. Or screen, I guess.
Outfits that are usually wear are, according to aesthetics wiki :
Longer, loose-fitting, flowy dresses and skirts often (but not always) reminiscent of housework wear from 1900's-50's.Large layered clothing (as stated above) with big pockets, puffy sleeves, and button blouses are common. Hand written letters. Flower pressings and flower crowns. Farm animals and wild animals. Flows skirts. Cottages obviously. Farmhouses. Vintage crockery and tea sets. Afternoon tea. Berry gardens, fruit gardens, veggie gardens. BAKING BAKING BAKING.
I love it all. I want it. I don't just want it. I need it.
