Travel 4: A new project has come

The glass door opens at half-past six. It is Marttin coming to the lab. All his assistants are studying how to back in time to get some documents from the firsts scientists on the Earth. They have some documents in the lab but it's not enough.

Marttin's planning to back more than one thousand years in the machine just to get some important documents because he needs to understand how they can do to make a machine that can go to Mars in just one month.

Marttin has this idea cause he wants to live there. In his lab, Marttin and all his assistants built a machine to go to Mars but the only problem is the time: the machine arrives there in just four months and he wants a rocket faster than that one.

Reading old newspapers and some documents into his computer, Marttin reads some information about the first rocket made in 1926, by Robert Goddard. Marttin doesn't have lots of information about that year and he doesn't know much information about Robert cause he hasn't found too many materials to check or understand that time. For him, this is a piece of important information to understand what he can do after the time tunnel is ok, or how he can improve this machine to go to Mars faster than his last rocket built ten years ago.

— What are you looking for, Mr. Marttin? – Said Tony, his assistant

— Nothing important, man. I'm just reading old news here and trying to understand some questions. – Said Marttin, sitting on a red chair

— Questions?

— Yes! Questions! We have lots of questions to answer but we need more information about things that happened in the past. But nowadays we have some problems to find the answers...

— Problems? – Said Tony

— Sure. Nowadays, when we search on websites it is so easy to find too much fake news.

— I see – Said Tony laughing

— I remember when my father said stories to me about that... – said Marttin looking at the white ceiling of the lab — ... And my father said all stories that he has heard from his great grandfather ...

— Interesting... Tell me more about that

Marttin stands up on the chair and walks until the big gray computer in front of him.

— I don't know too much about that. He said that all these stories about fake news started at the beginning of the twenty—first century.

Drinking some water, Tony is scared about the information Marttin said.

— However, do not worry, Tony. Let us back to our job.

Marttin sits on the red chair again and reads all the news he has on his computer. He smiles while reading the news. Nowadays, he has lots of technology machines in his lab but he tries to imagine how people worked two thousand years ago or more than this time, without many instruments he has now. All the machines in the lab are modern. Some of them help him to see many planets far from Earth.

— Marttin? May I show you something?

It is from Tony, his assistant. He is carrying a big brown box in his hands. Marttin looks at him surprised. He doesn't know what there is inside it.

— Tony, what's this? Food? Because I'm very hungry today. I need to eat something.

Tony smiles and he knows Marttin well. It is Friday afternoon and every Friday, at the beginning of the night, they have gone out to eat something in a snack bar near the lab.

— No, my friend. It is not what you are thinking about, but I hope you like it.

Marttin is a curious man and he likes surprises. He puts the brown box on the table and opens it.

— But this is a computer from the twenty—first century. What do you want to do with it?

— Yes, Marttin. This object is something we need now. Here, in the computer, there are all the documents we need. Do you remember that scientists from the twenty—first century tried to habit on Mars?

Marttin smiles.

— Of course, I do! But, how did you get these documents?

— Marttin, my friend, don't ask me difficult questions now. On this computer, there are all the instructions we need. I was reading some documents this early morning and here we can find more information about the idea they had centuries ago.

Marttin knows that people tried to study the planet Mars two centuries ago, but the mission failed and more than thirty people died. After this tragic accident, scientists from that time started to study about the Kepler-186f, a new planet discovered in April 2014.

— We need to watch all the videos now and we also need to read all these documents, ok? – Marttin said looking at Tony.

They read the documents and watch the videos during that day. All the activities in the lab stopped that day because those papers and videos are important to them. After the mission to inhabit Mars failed in 2035, the documents were filed and there was not much information about the route of attempting to reside on Mars.

— Good morning, guys!

The glass door opens. It is a new Friday day and Marttin begins his job smiling. One week later, after reading all the documents and watching every video, they are going to start the new project: Build a machine to get on Mars faster than before.

— Hey, Marttin. You're on time today! – Said Freddy walking towards Marttin.

— You are so funny today but we have too many activities to do. Today is a great day. We need to keep calm and do our best.

All the assistants start doing their activities in the lab. They have new equipment to build a new rocket to go to Mars. Marttin is very excited because he believes his project can be a great idea to help other scientists around the world.
