Chloe stepped out of her limo with her cell phone in hand. "And tell Jean- Luke we have a media pedi appointment after school today. My nails are just terrible!" She said to her chauffer. He bowed.
"Of course, Miss Bourgeois."
He shut the door as Chloe walked off. "Um, will the Madam be needing her bag?" He held out her school bag.
Chloe sighed. She took it from him and rushed off. The chauffer watched her go with a pitiful expression.
"Yes, Daddy. Love you too. Uh-huh, bye." Chloe hung up and stuffed the device in her bag. She rolled her eyes.
She walked into the school and looked around for her friend. Juliet usually hung out with the Marc kid by the stairs. But she wasn't there.
"Hey, loser. Where's Juliet?"
Marc gasped and slammed his journal shut. "I-I don't know... she never showed..." He kept his head low.
"Ugh, unbelievable." Chloe scoffed. "She's always here by seven thirty. And she hasn't shown up at all?"
Marc shook his head. "N-no..." Chloe huffed and marched away from the boy.
"Maybe she's in the library. She does like to read," She mumbled to herself. She headed for the library. She scanned the bookshelves to no avail.
Her friend was nowhere to be found. "Ugh. Class starts in five minutes and she's still not here!" She cried. She sat down at one of the chairs.
"This is ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" She stamped her foot. The bell rang.
Chloe took one last scan around the library before making her way to class. "I can't believe she has the audacity to leave me all by myself!" She marched into the room and took her seat, crossing her arms and pouting.
The teacher came in and started class. "Alright, class. Please take out your journals." Chloe looked at the empty seat next to her.
A frown formed on her lips, though Chloe didn't realize it.

Chloe walked into the school, hoping to find Juliet. She hadn't been at school the past few days and she was starting to get worried, though she'd never admit it. Chloe walked over to the staircase like she had every day since Juliet's arrival to Francois Dupont.
"Juliet better be here, or else- Oh! Look who finally decided to show up!" Chloe raised an eyebrow at the girl before her. Juliet looked up.
She seemed even paler than she usually was, besides her flushed cheeks. She offered a smile to Chloe.
"Hey, Chlo. What's up?" Her voice was strained. "Don't "Hey, Chlo" me! Where have you been?!" Chloe yelled.
Juliet flinched. "I-I've been sick. I'm sorry..." Chloe slumped her shoulders and frowned.
"Oh..." She cleared her throat. "W-well, you could've at least told me! You have my number! Making me worry like that!"
She stamped her foot. Juliet squirmed uncomfortably. "I'm sorry, Chloe. My mom took my phone so I'd rest. I'm sorry to worry you like that."
Chloe sighed. "Ugh... I guess it's alright. You were sick..." The bell rang, cutting their conversation short.
"But I'm glad you're back. I was starting feel...lonely." Chloe shivered dramatically. She took Juliet by the arm and pulled her away from the stairway.
"Now let's go. You have some catching up to do. And you're coming home with me. You simply look dreadful! I'll have to fix you up!" She pulled Juliet up the stairs and into the classroom. Juliet struggled to keep up.
"I'm sick, Chloe."
Magical time skip brought to you by cats. Just cats~
Chloe pushed Juliet into her room and set her down on a chair. "Now, you stay put while I get the makeup." Chloe rushed off, leaving Juliet by herself and confused.
Usually it would be her fetching the supplies. Chloe was acting off today. She didn't understand.
She decided to lean back and relax. She was still recovering from her fever. She was lucky her mom let her go to school as she was.
She took this time to look around the room. She never really looked at Chloe's room. They were usually playing superhero around the lobby.
She smiled. She really enjoyed Chloe's company. Chloe brought her life joy and happiness, something she thought she'd never find.
She saw a row of pictures along a shelf. Some were of her family. Some were of herself.
There was a lonely photo to the right. It was of Chloe and a red-headed girl. The pair looked happy.
Chloe never mentioned anything of someone else. They were at the Eifel Tower. Juliet furrowed her brows.
Chloe came back. "Jean-Luke will be here with our smoothies soon. I wasn't sure which type of eyeshadow would go best with your skin tone so I grabbed both." She sat down next to Juliet.
Juliet bit her lip. Should she ask who the girl in the picture is? Chloe set the supplies next to her and grabbed the foundation.
It was bothering her. Juliet cleared her throat. "H-hey, Chloe?"
"Yes?"
Chloe started spreading the foundation across Juliet's face. Juliet bit her lip nervously. "Who's the girl in the far right picture on your shelf?"
Chloe paused in her work and looked at her shelf. She scanned the array of photos. "Oh! That- that's Sabrina. She...she was my friend before you came."
Juliet hummed. It seemed to be a touchy subject. She didn't want to pry too deep.
"Oh," She said simply. She was curious, but she didn't want to pry too deep. Chloe went back to spreading the foundation.
"She switched schools and replaced me. Her new bestie is a model for Adrien's dad's fashion line. Lots of money, super pretty." Chloe sighed. Juliet frowned.
"I can't believe she'd leave you like that. I'm so sorry, Chloe." Chloe shook her head. "It's alright. Besides, you're a way better friend than she ever was."
She applied the rest of the makeup. Juliet sat there silently. There was a knock on the door.
"Oh, that must be Jean-Luke. I hope you don't mind but I got you a mint smoothie since you're sick. I thought it might help your throat." Chloe went to the door and took the smoothies from her butler. He went to speak when Chloe quickly shut the door.
She sat the drinks down on the side table next to them. "Now for the concealer." Juliet took her smoothie and smiled.
"Thank you, Chloe."

"Oh my gosh! Pull over!" Chloe shoited. Juliet eyed her in confusion. Her chauffer came to a stop.
"Come with me, Juliet! We're getting a picture with the tower. The sky is too pretty to pass this opportunity up!" She took her friend by the hand and pulled her out of the limo. She pulled out her phone.
"The sun is shining perfectly on the tower and there's a rainbow just overhead. Isn't it beautiful?" Chloe pulled Juliet in for a side-hug and snapped a picture. Juliet blinked.
Chloe looked at the picture in her glalery. "I'm putting this in a frame and it's going right on my shelf!" Juliet thought back to the shelf, the pictures, the one to the far right.
"But what about...Sabrina?" Chloe quirked an eyebrow. She looked comfused.
"Sabrina who?"
Juliet's eyes widened. "The-" She cut herself off.
If Chloe didn't remember her, she didn't want to bring it up. It had been several months since she told Juliet about Sabrina. She was glad she was starting to move on.
"N-nothing."
Chloe shrugged her shoulders. "Let's go. That ice cream isn't going to eat itself!" Juliet was pulled away and into the limo.
"Oh, I wonder what flavor I'll get!"
