WARNING!! BLOOD AND GORE IS IN THIS CHAPTER. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED!!!

The hunt is something I don't like Believe it or not. I don't like hunting humans, but animal blood can only get you so far. Besides I only go after the real monsters in this world: murders, rapists, child abusers. You get the picture. It starts off hard, but once you hit low income areas the hunt gets easier. They always fall for a damsel in distress. Someone who they think are weak or an easy target. Or someone who looks like they have nobody who will look for them.

I made it to some bar. Didn't look like it was much then I started snooping in on others dark desires that they keep bottled up. Just waiting for their next victim. It's a slow night, but eventually you always strike gold with someone. I watched him for a while until he finally noticed my staring. As soon as I knew I had a fish on the line I knew it was time to take him out. I grabbed my bag and walked out the door. I walked down the darkest alley there was until I was certain that he was following his death trap. I dropped my bag, and faced my prey. "What do you want?" I put on my best bitch face.
"I saw that you were looking at me in there." Ugh ego is like curiosity it can kill you.
"So I look at a lot of people."
"I didn't know that you were interested."
"No I'm not believe me I'd rather catch AIDS then to sleep with you."

He stepped too close for his own good. He's mine now. I snatched him by his hair and made my mark. With my nails I dug into his neck until I felt bones. I sucked up his blood that was quickly oozing out. Creating a river stream of blood on the alleyway pavement. All you could hear was his symphony of screams until he couldn't scream any more. I made a small cut into his wrist and grabbed a mason jar for the rest of the blood could go in. Once I was done I burned his body to ashes without even striking a match. No trace of him was left. Not even what was left of his soul.

I made my way back to the hotel as well as my room without being questioned. When I got back to my room I put the jar of blood into the fridge. "You can come out Marius I know your there. Your hearing gets mighty sharp after you die or things will go bump in the night." I heard his boots click under the floors, and I felt a shiver in my heart. I can't deny the things I feel when I'm around him. And before you call me a whore I am not. I just have a friendly kitty. "Who's poor soul did you eradicate tonight?" His voice is as smooth as the red velvet suit he's wearing.
"Nobody important." I took off my shoes and made my way to the couch.
"Hmm" ok normally that means he's indifferent about the situation, but other than that nothing. He sat down in the chair across from me.
"So what brings you out of the shadows?"
"Why are you working for Eric?"
"I'm not I'm just helping him find a missing sheriff.
"You're a queen though you should be home."
"I'm the queen of ALL vampires, and yes that includes the ones you don't like."
"When will you realize you need to get away from him? How many times does someone have to try to kill you to realize that he is not good news?" He does make a point, but I've worked for worse people.
"Eric is not the cause of their problems or actions. Humans do far more harm than little 'ol Eric Northman. Besides he pays well enough to pay for my mom's house and her debt."
"You can't trust him."
"And I'm supposed to trust you? Didn't you and your little ancient friends kill your last queen? Yes she was a stone cold bitch, pun intended, but she was still your queen." With that Marius had nothing to say. He got up made it to the door. "There was a reason she chose you. Don't make the same mistake she made." On the note he left me with just my thoughts and my internal conflicts.

I took me a shower and brushed my teeth. When I made my way to my bed I saw a little viking king in my bed. "What did I do to deserve this fucked upness?" I thought but crawled into bed anyway, and fell into a much needed sleep.
