Chapter One - The Incident

Most people thought Kei Tsukishima was an only child, others thought he had an older brother. Those people are wrong. Kei Tsukishima had two older brothers, Akiteru Tsukishima and his Twin Brother Yuri Plisetsky.

Yuri takes his grandfather's last name instead of the Tsukishima last name. Now Yuri is only older by a few minutes than Kei. They have more similarities than differences, their salty attitude, blonde hair, and snarky comments are a few.

Tsukishima is 190.1cm or 6'2, Now Yuri didn't get that much Height but he's still taller than Hinata at 172.4cm or 5'6.

Speaking of Hinata, Shoyo Hinata is like a cousin to Kei. Hinata grew up with his brother Yuri on the ice so they would be around each other when Kei went to his brother's practices.

Shoyo Hinata and his sister Natsu were adopted by Vikter and Yuuri after two months of being in high school. Shoyo's father took Hinata's twin older siblings and left. Hinata's mother began to abuse them after that and told the two youngest Hinata's it was their fault.

This caused Shoyo to get extreme anxiety, he was diagnosed with Social Anxiety, PTSD or Post-traumatic stress disorder, and low self esteem. Shoyo always put himself down. It doesn't help with Kageyama's bulling about being stupid and dumb.

The younger Hinata siblings didn't leave their abusive mother till a little into the High School year.

Kei remembered the day they came to his brother's house. He was spending the night at Yuri's house that night.

Hinata sprinted out the house with Natsu on his shoulders and duffle bags on both of his arms. He ran and ran for what felt like days, running away from the person he called mom.

Their mom wasn't really a mom, she was more of a stranger, here's why Hinata and Natsu are abused by their mother after Hinata's dad left them and took their older sister and brother. They were twins but Hinata's brothers were his Idol, the both played Basketball and were identical. Barely anyone could tell them apart, the only one who could was Hinata.

Hinata and his little sister Natsu were the "disappointments" in his mother's eyes, Hinata played "girly" sports. Hinata was a Volleyball player for his high school and was under coaching for Ice Skating by his father figures Yuri and Viktor.

Natsu never took interest in sports and social media, she was more into art and music. Natsu was talented in art and drawing.

Back to the present Hinata was running to one of the few places he called safe, to Yurios.

Yurio had driven Hinata home one night and stayed to make sure he got in fine. The door was opened by his mother before he got punched in the face. Yurio had taken Hinata and Natsu with him that night.

That's when Hinata had confessed to Yurio that his mother abuses him and his sister, Yurio had made Hinata know his house would always be open for them. Yurio also told Viktor and Yuuri what happened so they also knew and had another safe place there.

Hinata reached the familiar street and saw Yurio's House, Hinata sprinted faster to the house before banging on the door. He did a secret knock that Yurio taught him.

Three bangs, break, two bangs, break, three bangs

Yurio rushed to the door to see a beaten and bloody Hinata and Natsu with bags. Yurio ushered them in before calling and shouting at Viktor in Russian, a language both siblings knew. Hinata thought he saw Tsukishima but his eyes may have been playing tricks on him.

"Viktor get you приклад her now with Piggy. Shos here with Natsu covered in blood and bruises."

"On it!" You heard Viktor yell before tires started to screech.

Yurio started to bandage Natsu up while Shoyo took a shower to get the sweat and extra blood off. Vikter and Yuuri came barging in right as Hinata got out of the shower. Hinata kept the towel wrapped around his waist so Yurio could bandage Hinata's back up.

Hinata looked up to see another face he grew to care for, a brother like figure. Tsukishima.

"Hey Kei," Shoyo said before coughing out blood.

"Shoyo, I need you to start explaining what your mother did this time. We may need to get you to a hospital." Vikter softly said, he grabbed the bandages Yuri was just using on Natsu to help Shoyo.

"Uh so I left practice and went to Natsu's daycare to pick her up. We stopped to get some water at the store Coach Ukai works at. We got home a bit late and she went off at me. I pushed Natsu out the way as she started to hit me. I fell to the ground and she started to kick my stomach.

"She grabbed a glass bottle and threw it at me before taking the half smashed bottle and hitting me continually. I started to cough blood and that's when she started to try and attack Natsu. I kept getting in the way before she got mad and knocked me out.

I'm not sure what happened to Natsu but I woke up to see her breathing heavily and mother about to hit her again. I kinda knocked her out and quickly grabbed our stuff before running all the way here."

"Shoyo you ran ALL THE WAY HERE!" Yuri yelled.

"..." Shoyo said looking down at his feet.

"Shoyo I understand you live a 30 minutes bike ride away from your school, you have to go over a mountain to get to school but I AM A 45 MINUTE CAR RIDE! THAT'S OVER 7 HOURS TO WALK HERE!"

"..."

"SO HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU GET HERE SO FAST WHEN YOU HAD PRACTICE 5 HOURS AGO! NOT TO MENTION YOUR SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO WALK!"

"...I... kinda sprinted."

"HOW THE FUCK IS POSSIBLE!!! PHYSICS ANYONE!!!"

You could see Yuri's anger, he calmed down and gave Shoyo a hug, "you know I'm not mad at you, just mad at your mother. Come on let's get you to the hospital."

They made their way to the hospital and found out Natsu had a broken arm and two broken ribs on her right side while Shoyo had three broken ribs, two on his left and one on his right, his right shoulder and right ankle were dislocated and he had a fractured collarbone.

That's when Kei realized his best friend was in more pain than anyone he ever knew yet had the brightest smile. Guess the quote, "The prettiest smiles hide the deepest secrets. The prettiest eyes have cried the most tears, and the kindest hearts have felt the most pain," is true.

Kei may seem mean to Shoyo but that's how he shows his love when others are near. Kei and Shoyo are alone, or with close friends they act like siblings. The only ones who know of this are Tadashi Yamaguchi, Yuuri and Vikter Nikiforov, Yuri Plisetsky and Yuri's boyfriend Otabek Arutin.

That's why Kei always made fun of Shoyo's height, the freak attack, and that he was bad at volleyball because his height was what made him amazing in ice skating, the freak attack was too similar to his ice skating jumps plus he was surprisingly extremely graceful on the ice.

Even though Shoyo has low self esteem and confidence he always finds Kei's comments to be funny instead of bullying. It makes Shoyo Feel normal and not like a past abused child.

Kei's comments are more encouraging than most people realize.

"Oh look it's the freaks duo quick attack," it means, "Oh look he's using his freak jumps instead of his cool jumps". It may sound offensive to others, but not Shoyo.

They've had this relationship going since they were in elementary school. A brotherly love, Tsukishima is happily dating Tadashi Yamaguchi anyways.

Hinata actually has feelings for a pudding headed setter anyways.
