Yamaguchi unsuccessfully removed the goopy mud from his middle school uniform. Instead, he only ended up making it worse; smearing it all over his clothes.
"You're so annoying, Yamaguchi," Tsukishima muttered under his breath, pulling out a handkerchief from his pocket. "Stop falling the mud, can't you watch where you walk?"
Yamaguchi laughed awkwardly. "Ahaha.... sorry, Tsukki. But we're graduating this year! I'm pretty excited."
"There's still a month until that happens."
"Oh, right."
Tsukishima sighed, wiping the sleeves of his best friend. "Isn't this the twentieth time we're going to have to wash all the mud off the volleyball? Let's play in the court next time."
"Okay Tsukki!"
Yamaguchi smiled brightly, causing Tsukishima to roll his eyes. The blond wiped away a little more mud on the dirty boy's face.
"I can wash that for you, Tsukki," Yamaguchi offered, holding out a stained hand. "It's the least I could do."
"Don't get it more dirty then it already is." Tsukishima said while dropping the piece of cloth in his hands.
The green-haired boy laughed again, more confidently this time. "Don't worry, I won't."
The typical walk home, Yamaguchi being clumsy, nearly falling face first into more dirt if it weren't for Tsukishima.
The taller male always assumed it was because Yamaguchi was ridiculously clumsy, but that wasn't exactly the case.
'I can't believe I put up with you.' Tsukishima grabbed the collar of Yamaguchi's uniform, saving him from another inevitable slip-up.
"Ah! Thanks, Tsukki."
"It's nothing new. If I had a piece of gold for every time I've seen you slip, I could make a statue of myself."
Yamaguchi got back on his feet, ignoring the message in the comment. "Would you make a statue of me if you could?"
"Huh?"
"Oh, it's nothing."
Tsukishima thought about it. "Maybe for your birthday or something. But since I don't have gold it's impossible."
Yamaguchi face lighted up. "Aww, thanks Tsukki. It's the thought that counts right?"
Tsukishima looked away. "Shut up, Yamaguchi."
"Sorry, Tsukki."
