Bad News

"Mrs. Wu, I'm sorry to say this but after everything we've done your son's condition is not improving at all, we're afraid we cannot do anything else to help him. I'm truly sorry", the doctor said.

" We understand", said Mrs. Wu," But could you just try to help him a little bit more maybe he'll respond to the treatment after sometime".

" We'll do our best Mrs. Wu", said the doctor.

Meanwhile:
                     " Violet!! What's wrong with you today?! You can't even focus on your work.... This girl".

Violet handed her boss a letter.

" A leave! Why you little! Is that fiancée of yours more important than your work?!"

Violet didn't dare to open her mouth she just looked down at the floor.

"Okay since you've done a good job on the last project I'll let you off this time but I'll not be so lenient with you the next time".

" Thank you ma'am".

With that Violet left. On her way to the hospital she met her old friend from high school. He had been studying abroad so they hadn't meet for quite a long time.

"V? Is that you?"

"Dylan!! What a surprise. Long time no see, how are you?" Violet asked.

Dylan was Violet's high school crush but after he went abroad and after she met Kris, Violet seemed to have forgotten about him.

" I'm good but you seem to be troubled", Dylan said smiling at her," You're still the same as before each and every feeling of yours always shows up on your face. You're an open book."

Violet laughed awkwardly, "I haven't changed at all it seems".

"You in a rush to go somewhere?" asked Dylan." If you're not maybe we could go somewhere to celebrate our reunion."

Violet looked at her watch, she thought that she would turn down Dylan's offer but she was too nice of a girl to do that so she agreed.

Dylan was obviously a rich guy so he took her to a first class restaurant. 

They chatted for a while and as the time went on Violet forgot about her fiancée. It was already 3:00 pm when Violet and Dylan parted ways.

"What? It's already so late!" Violet ran as fast as she could to the hospital. When she reached there the moment she entered the room her face turned pale and what she saw already made her aware of the situation.

"The doctor said that they cannot do anything anymore", said Mrs. Wu looking at her beloved son.

Violet burst into tears, "I'm sure there's something they can do to save him." NO NO NO!!! This can't be, SOMEONE WAKE ME UP FROM THIS NIGHTMARE!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!.

"Violet, calm down besides you know that doctors can be wrong sometimes", said Anna, Kris' sister.

" SOMETIMES!!!!" scream Violet.

Violet walked up to her fiancée. "You said that you wouldn't leave me alone!!" she sobbed." You said you'll always be there to protect me and take care of me." She sobbed even more, "Don't leave me". Violet laid on the bed beside him and cried her lungs out.

"Way of all flesh girl", said Mr. Wu patting Violet's head.
