Without You

BEEP...........

He let out his last breath.

"Kris! Kris!"

"I'm sorry for your lost", said the doctor covering his body with a cloth.

Violet's world began to spin. She clutched the bed and starred at the doctor, her eyes were red due to lack of sleep, she was unable to let out a single word she just bit her lips as tears started rolling down her pale cheeks.

"WAKE ME UP FROM THIS NIGHTMARE!!!! THIS IS NOT HAPPENING!!! KRIS!!! THIS IS NOT REAL!!! YOU'LL BE NEXT TO ME THE MOMENT I WAKE UP FROM THIS NIGHTMARE!!! THIS IS NOT REAL!!!", Violet screamed. She was crying her lungs out. She sat there on the floor crying and screaming, she was no longer in her right mind.

"What will it take for me to die?" Violet asked out of pain.

Anna rushed to her side and hugged her tightly.

"Don't ask such questions, I'm sure my brother wants you to live and be happy", Anna comforted her.

"COME BACK TO ME!!! ", Violet said clutching Kris' body, " COME BACK!!!"

Violet was miserable, she could not think straight, she refused to go to work or even go out with her friends, she locked herself in her room and refused to come out. She couldn't eat much and she was weak. This went on for two weeks.

One month later:
                              "Everyone today you all will have a new team leader I hope you all give him the respect he deserves".

The new team leader entered the room and everyone immediately fell for him. But unfortunately he didn't notice it.

"I'm Dylan Huang, please take good care of me", he introduced himself.

The meeting went on. 

TICK TICK TICK......

" Let us work hard to make this project a success", Dylan encouraged his colleagues.

Everyone started to leave and when Dylan saw Violet he went up to her.

"How are you? I heard about Kris", Dylan said.

"I'm doing as well as I can, thank you for asking", Violet answered calmly.

" In case you need someone to talk to, I'm your man", Dylan said smiling.

She smiled, "Sure sure".

"She's still so cute even though she's all grown up", Dylan said to himself.

" I'm back", said Violet after coming from work.

"Welcome back sis", said Anna.

"Anna!! What a surprise, what are you doing here?"

" Your mom called me to keep you company", said Anna with a smile.

" Thanks", said Violet.

" You should thank your mom", Anna said pulling her to the sitting room.

There she saw all her friends and Kris' parents.

"We're here for you Vi, you don't have to suffer by yourself", said Amy.

Violet was speechless, she just smiled. She enjoyed the evening with her friends and for a while it looked as though she was happy again, but as soon as they left she was sad again. Her friends could not give her the same kind of happiness her lover did.

"I miss you", Violet said starring at the starry sky.

She reached her hand out as though Kris was pulling her to him.
