Rules For Participants

I know, I know, rules, boring. But PLEASE make sure you read and follow them, if you don't follow the rules set equally for everyone, you will not be able to participate in the contest. 

1: Please follow: 

Please make sure you follow my main account: coolcourtney5 I personally hate the permanent follow rule. You can unfollow me after the contest if you choose to, I can't force you to follow me for a contest that has ended.  

2: Follow your judge:

Myself and your judges put a lot of hard work into these contests, so please show them your appreciation and follow them for the duration of the contest.   

3: Changes: 

If you change your title, username, or unpublish your work, you must let me know. If you don't alert ME to these changes, you may not have your story judged. 

4: No bribing, obviously. 

I don't think anyone has ever done this, but seriously, don't try to bribe your judges. if I discover any judges are showing favouritism, a new judge will be assigned to that genre. 

5: 15k and less: 

I know this rule is a let down for some of you, but I'm sorry. This contest is for undiscoered writers, so I need to set a proper read limit. I know a lot of my friends have more than 15k reads, and I'm sorry you can't be in my contest this time around. :(

6: Chapters: 

Your story must have at least 5 published chapters. This is to help your judges get a good feel for your story. This rule does not apply to Poetry and Short Story. 

7: No Negativity: 

I won't put up with any negativity toward myself, the judges, or any participants. If you act rudely to anyone involved in this contest, you will be disqualified. This shouldn't only apply to contests though, please be kind to everyone if you want the same in return. Please also Note: The password for this contest is Rotting Beauty, I have hidden it within the rules to make sure people actually read. Let's make Wattpad a positive place for everyone! The world has enough darkness in it right now, don't contribute to it. 

8: English Only: 

I can only accept story written in English, I apologize to any Non-English writers. 

9: Returning winners: 

If you won The Chaos Awards 8, you may not enter the same story in the samecategory. You can however enter a different story, or a different category. 

10: Number of stories per participant: 

You can enter as many story as you'd like, however there are some restrictions. You cannot enter more than one story in the same category, and you cannot enter the same story in more than one category. 

11: Timeline: 

Entries are open from July 29th until August 21st. Judging will begin On September 21st, And results will be due on October 21st. 

12: Original Work: 

You cannot enter someone else's work. You may only enter work that belongs to you, and is written by you.
