*Hey guys! A new fanfic that im actually going to write! Bear with me, please c:*
Alexandria's POV
Walking down Hollywood Boulevard, I grabbed my phone out of my pocket. I turned it on, and plugged my headphones and decided to scroll through my songs list to find what I was in the mood for. I found "I Miss You" by Blink 182 and pressed play.
I normally didn't walk like this in these scenarios. But, my car broke down, and waking was my best option to get places.
Walking a few more blocks down, I saw the bus bench and sat down for a breather. I looked at my reflection on my phone screen and noticed my face, accompanied by its ugly features. My brown hair, with my blue green eyes and my small, insignificant lips, and it brought me to a thought: how could anyone like me? I looked at my sleeve and pulled it down slightly. I opened my phone up and started looking through the news articles about the Kardashians and such. A few minutes passed, when a boy with slightly gelled hair, and a lanky figure sat next to me. I slid slightly, making room for the guy to sit. He was eyeballing me, and I acted like I didn't really notice. "hey" he said, waiting for an answer. "Hi, do you need me to move more? Do I have something on my face?" I asked, feeling a bit insecure from all of the staring. "No, I was just admiring the view<" he said, and winked. I giggled and proceeded to roll my eyes.
Then, I heard a familiar voice. "Oh look! It's a worthless peice of shit!" it yelled, getting closer as I turned my head to see Aaron, an ex boyfriend of mine. I kept my cool, trying to prevent my emotions from showing through. Aaron bolted towards me and grabbed my arm, until I heard the boy, Luke, starting to get up. Aaron let go of my arm as Luke grabbed the hem of his shirt. He stared deep into his eyes. "Hey, you leave her alone, you stupid ass" Luke whispered menacingly. Then, he punched Aaron in the face. Luke looked at me and brushed a tear away. "You okay?" He asked. I shook my head no. "Let me take you back to my place, okay?" "Alright." I said and he grabbed my hand and we walked to his house.
Luke's POV
I grabbed her hand as we start walking down Hollywood Boulevard, and started to read her, as if she was a book. She seemed to have this is very sad look in her eyes, seeming lost. You could tell that she was broken inside, from looking at her tired eyes. What she didn't know about herself is that she's beautiful inside and out but she can't see that' you can tell she thinks so much differently. She has depression, you can tell by the way she walks.. She's different, and every so mysterious. "Are you thirsty I asked her. Yeah I am but I don't want you wasting your money on me." She said in a sad tone. "Don't you worry about it, alright?" "Okay" We walked to a Starbucks down the street from my place. "What coffee do you want?" I asked her. "Peppermint Mocha, bt are you going to pay? I have a little money left over from my job..." She said. "I'll pay, while you go find a place to sit while I order, okay? I don't care if I have to pay for it, love . " I smiled reassuringly. She gave me a wary look, then nodded, and walked away to find a spot to sit.
Alexandria's POV
I sat down in a booth and grabbed my phone out of my pocket, and proceeded to plug my headphones in. I scrolled through my song list and found my favorite song, Colors by Halsey, and put it on. I closed my eyes and started singing it, feeling its melody rush through me, and when the song ended, I stopped singing. I opened up my eyes to find Luke in awe, holding both of our caffine rich drinks. Then, the whole Starbucks clapped and whistled. I was surprised, and I started blushing. "Your voice is amazing, Alexandria. Lets go to my place, okay? You lock a little white" I surveyed the room of the clapping humans, and felt myself start shaking. "Alright." I said still in shock from what has happened, and we walked out the door to his place.
We left Starbucks, and a few blocks down, Luke stopped me. "I need to warn you about something, " he said. I looked at him in a confused fashion. "My friend are slightly crazy, just bear with them, okay?" "Ummm alright. They don't sound so bad though" I giggled at him. He gave me a look of warning, and we kept on walking. We turned on South Angels Street and he lead me up to a large, red house. He walked me to the door, and opened it up to find 3 boys eating different chip brands in band tee's and sweatpants. "Hey Luke," said one with red hair, and black Nirvana tee said. "Guys, this is Alexandria, and she's going to hang here for a bit" Luke announced. "Go sit somewhere and drink your coffee, I'll be right back, okay beau?" He asked politely. "Alright," I said nodding and when to sit next to one of the boys with curly dark blonde hair. "Hi, I'm Ashton, that's Calum" Ash pointed to the black haired boy behind him, "Michael," he pointed to red hair," and Luke in which seems to be ignoring a wonderful guess to take a shower again" he pointed down the hall. He smiled and then his face changed when he looked at my sad eyes."You seem upset, don't be." He said, and looked at Mickey and Cal. "Our home is your home, and your already like a sister to us. Stay strong, cause I can already tell that Luke likes you. He never brings girls over" he said laughing.
I started felling suffocated, feeling slightly panicked by the thought, as Luke came back into the living room, and sat down next to me, and covered up the fact that I felt like this. "What show do you want to watch?" Calum asked me and handed me the remote. I scrolled through the list till I found Music Choice. "Do you guys mind?" I asked. " Not a problem at all," Michael smiled. I turned it on to find Ships In The Night by Mat Kearney. I began to sing with the song. "Like ships in the night, you keep passing me by, just wasting time, trying t prove who's right. And if it all goes crashing to the sea, if it's just you and me, trying to find a lie," I finished the begging and turned around to find Luke, Ash, Michael, and Calum in awe. "Alexandria, your voice sounds amazing," Ash said, and the boys nodded in agreement. "Alexandria, you could become famous with that voice," Luke said as he was smiling next to me. "You coud become famous with that voice," Then, I had a flashback.
*Alexandria, you could become famous with that voice," Austin said.
Another memory
"Alexandria, you are worthless! How can anybody love you?" He yelled at me. "Might just as well kill yourself now," he shouted, as the memory faded away.*
I bursted out crying. Luke rushed to my side and let me cry on his shoulder. I didn't think he realized he triggered a memory, something that I shoved into the crevices of my mind.
Lukes POV
Alexandria started crying and I instantly started to hug her. She remembered something bad, and it was all my fault. "Shhhhh" I said to Alexandria in the best comforting tone possible. She continued to cry until she passed out. She was asleep, curling up like a kitten. I hung onto her, and then Ashton sat next to me. "Dude, your going to have to tell Alex that we're in a band eventually, dude," he warned. "I know Ash, but she might just leave if she finds out," I looked down at her cute position. I started to sing "She Looks So Perfect" but changed the words. "You look so perfect sitting there, as I sat next to you on the bench over their, and I know now, that your so down, You lipstick smear is a work of art, I wish I had your name tattooed above my heart, and I know now, that your so down." I sung. Then, I felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. I grabbed it out to find out it was a text message. It said 'Your parents are dead, and their is no way your coming back to your house alive' from an unknown number. I asked Cal if he could call the police and track down the number as I carried her into my bedroom and grabbed my stuffed penguin to let her snuggle with. I'll have to break the news to her in the morning.
And she isn't going to like it.
