I was in the car with my parents. We were heading towards my fiancée's house. My father was driving the car which was unusual. Actually everything about him was unusual today. Dad never told me anything about my fiancée. He always denied answering my question about her. But today I was going to meet her? There must be some kind of catch in it. Also, he never went anywhere without beta Callum who was Cole's father and his guards. However today he personally dismissed them form coming.

Strange!

"Xavier, I know you don't like her now but once you'll meet her, you'll love her." My mom spoke. She had no doubt I would like "the girl." I rolled my eyes at her statement. I already despised my fiancée so meeting her wouldn't change anything.

"You used to follow her everywhere when you were young." I turned so fast at her revelation that I got whiplashed in my neck. I slowly massaged my neck while calculating the meaning behind her words.

"You're saying I have already met my fiancée when I was a child?" I asked. I was restless to know the answer.

"Yes, you have. You were crazy for her" she smiled fondly. She stared at the window beside me as if she was remembering sweet memories. Meanwhile, I was having a hard time analysing her to see if she was hallucinating or not.

"John, you remember-"My mother asked my father. "He used to throw a fit whenever it was time to leave her alone. One time, Xavier even wanted to marry her so he could bring her back with him." This newfound information had my head spinning. I...did that? Really?

"If so then why can't I remember anything?" I doubted everything my mom was telling me. They could be lying to make me like her for all I knew.

Before she could answer me, the car stopped in front of a beautiful cottage. The house was literally in the middle of nowhere and it was surrounded by dense forest. I wonder why they lived in a place like this. I opened the door to exit when dad stopped me.

"Son, behave" He ordered in his Alpha tone. It was a warning given to me to hide my lack of interest in his future daughter in law. I slightly nodded not wanting to start an argument here.

I followed dad to the door. He knocked and a man opened. He was radiating power so I guessed he was an Alpha. He hugged my father and welcomed us in. Inside, I saw a woman in her mid-40. She was crying violently. My mother rushed to her side to offer comfort. I figured something bad had happened here.

"What happened, Max," My father asked looking all serious.

"Luna is missing since yesterday." He replied in shaking voice. There was a mixture of anxiety and worry in his face.

"Luna" I repeated the name. What a beautiful name it was. That name sounded familiar somehow. "Who is Luna?" That was definitely the wrong question to ask but I needed to know.

Both adults stared at each other as if they were deciding something. "Your fiancée."

Blank. Blankness surrounded me. Anxiety crawled inside me. Unknown emotions engulfed me. I didn't understand why this news was affecting me so much. Just a few minutes ago, I disliked her but now I was overly worried about her safety. I pushed all thoughts at the back of my head. I didn't have time for that. I needed to find her.

"I'll ask Cole to send trackers. Then we can go and look for her." I said while typing the number in my phone. I wanted to start looking for her right now but it wouldn't be effective.

"No, it's risky-" Father shouted. WTF, she could be in danger right now. What could be riskier than that?

Suddenly the door open and someone walked in. I gasped loudly staring at the person that had just walked in. My jaw hanged open and intense pleasure ran through my body when my eyes met with Luke's eye. He was here, in front of me in the same state as he was yesterday. His eyebrows moved a little to form a cute frown. So, he wasn't happy to see me here.

Two pairs of big hand engulfed him that belonged to Max and that crying woman. Their eye quickly scanned his body for injury. Alpha Max's expression turned into an angry one when he saw a red bruise on his hand.

"How did you get this bruise?" He asked looking very serious. Luke ignored his father's question, instead, he asked one to Max.

"Papa, what's he doing here?" There was an unmistakable rage in his voice directed towards me.

"Is something wrong?"

"It's him. He's the one that left a bruise in my hand" He said sending me burning gaze. Four heads turned towards me. I felt guilty for leaving a bruise. So I did what guilty people do. I apologized.

"I'm sorry Luke." Everyone present there stared at me like I just revealed I'm gay. Honestly, I was surprised too of what came out from my mouth. Alphas never apologized but yet I did...to him. I ignored all of them before saying. "I didn't mean to leave a bruise." After that, no one spoke anything for a brief amount of time.. Everyone was staring at me and Luke like they were trying to solve some puzzle.

"Lun- I mean Luke, follow me." Alpha Max ordered him. Luke lowered his head like a criminal and followed his father to a large hallway. Once they were gone, my father asked me a few questions like how I met Luke and all. I only told him that I met Luke in the forest and that's it. Both my parent seemed too happy that I had found him in the forest. They were acting so weird today.

After a few minutes, Alpha Max came and asked my father to follow him. They returned shortly after with Luke, who seemed to be crying. His tears were doing something to me. I wanted to kiss his tear away. I moved toward him but he quickly ran upstairs, leaving me once again.

"Why is Luke crying?" I demanded.

"It's been decided that Luke is going to stay with you for a couple of months." My father stated. I beamed and a smile broke in my face. It was strange for me to feel this way for a boy who I had met just yesterday. But there was something about him that called me to him. I was afraid that I was falling in love with him.
