Recap:

Hayden's eyes widened as she immediately recognized the object. It was a switchblade.

Continued:
"You know. I had orders to take you in alive, but that doesn't mean you have to be unscathed." He said as he started charging again. However, before he could get very far, the man crumpled to the ground. Behind him stood the beanie boy with a bat in his hands. He lifted the bat up before bringing it down again. He hit the man over and over again. No one behind him moved to stop beanie boy and at this rate the asshole man would die, so Hayden ran forward and caught the bat in her hands before he could bring it down again.

"Stop it! You're going to kill him!" Beanie boy gave the girl an incredulous look.

"He was trying to kill you! Why are you protecting him?"

"Because murder is wrong, and last I checked, kind of illegal, dumbass!" Hayden yelled at the boy in front of her. She couldn't believe it. These people were perfectly okay with trying to kill someone. What the fuck. The boy with the white shirt and light brown hair looked slightly uncomfortable, and the glasses had a disappointed look on his face, but neither of them stepped in to stop beanie boy. Redhead had no expression, like usual, while beanie boy seemed to be seething with rage. He was glaring at the man behind her, not even bothering to meet her eyes. Placing her hand on top of his, she pried the bat out of his hands and let it drop to her side.

"He doesn't deserve mercy."

"You're right. But just because he doesn't deserve mercy doesn't mean I can't give it to him. If there is one thing in this world I have control over it's who I choose to let go, no matter what they did." She turned away from beanie boy to give one last look at the man before her. He had somehow managed to crawl to his knees, and was completely covered in blood. He glared at the girl above him.

"Why didn't you let him kill me?"

"Because I will not stoop to your level," she whispered, giving the man a hard look. She turned to go, but before she could take a step further, she felt a sharp pain in her side.

"You should have killed me when you had the chance." The asshole man said before turning and running. Looking down she saw something sticking out of her side and her white sweatshirt suddenly changing to a reddish color. Feeling all the energy draining out of her, faster than it should, she collapsed to the ground. She could faintly see people surrounding her. Someone put their hand on the knife wound, making her wince, as another person slapped her cheeks, probably trying to stop her from closing her eyes. It wasn't working. A voice then mentioned a hospital and Hayden immediately sobered up.

"No... no hospitals... please," she whispered as she began losing consciousness. Her eyes fluttered closed as her ragged breathing started to even out a tiny bit, but then she felt a worse pain in her side. Someone had pressed harder on her wound and she immediately opened her eyes, crying out.

"You'll die." Redhead said.

"Oh well." Was her response.

The people above her started talking, and she could faintly hear them, only picking out words such as 'bar' and 'help her'. Suddenly she felt an arm underneath her knees and another one behind her back, and she wasn't on the ground anymore. Her eyes squeezed tight in pain, as she was pressed into someone's chest, and they started moving. She tried to keep her breaths even, but it wasn't working. It hurts to breathe, it honestly hurts to move, and being carried while someone is walking is not the smoothest ride. At least they weren't running... she spoke too soon. The person she was being carried by started going faster, but the ride was smooth most of the time. The person must be beanie boy because he was the one with a skateboard. The other people were probably running behind them, but beanie boy was going much faster. Hayden shivered as she felt wind brush against her bare legs and blow through her hair. She snuggled closer to beanie boy. He was warm. Really warm, and maybe that was because of his weird fire thingy, or it was because Hayden was just really cold.
