Zayn's POV

"I'm walking down the street from your house, are you ready?" I was on the phone with Alexis.

It was Ella's birthday, we were going to take her to Russ's show and then to a surprise party. She knew about Russ's show, what she didn't know was what would happen at the show.

"Now, when you get here, we'll leave!" Alexis said I heard the noise of something glass falling on the floor. "Damn it, Niall! We're coming out." She hung up before I could answer.

I parked the car outside Niall and Alexis' house, honked twice and the couple didn't take long to leave. Alexis was saying something to Niall and she looked angry.

"You're clumsy, and it was your fault!" Alexis talked by getting in the back seat of the car.

"It was by accident, my God it was a cup!" Niall made a quick touch with me.

"A cup that could still be a cup if you paid attention to what you do, has wet the whole floor!" Lexi patted my seat back two times and I started the car again.

"Gee, Alexis, what a drama, you're not even going to clean it up!" Alexis snitched, but she didn't answer.

"Good afternoon! How's my favorite couple?" I sang, and I looked at Lexi in the rearview mirror. "Undo that bad face, it's an important day!"

"I told her that, but do you think she listens to me?" Nialler spoke backward. "No!"

I stopped the car before turning the corner to the main avenue, which would take us to Ella's building.

"You guys want to stay? I don't mind spending the afternoon alone with Ella!" I unlocked the doors of the vehicle. "If you two are going to fight over a fucking cup, you don't even have to go! Nobody has to put up with you two when you're mad at each other! It's an important day for your best friend and you're worried about the cup he broke? Spare me, Alexis!" I stopped talking and looked at Alexis in the rearview mirror again, she was wide-eyed. "Will you guys stop?" Niall nodded lightly and Alexis kept staring at me with her eyes wide open. "Are you going or not?"

"I will!" She almost told herself.

"Great!" I started the car again and accelerated to the main avenue. "I'm going to turn on the radio, I need to memorize at least one song from this guy."

I turned on the radio, and I let the album that would be presented that night play. The songs were good, the guy knew what he was doing. I understood why Ella liked him so much, he was good.

"We're coming to your building!" I heard Alexis talking, I looked in her rearview mirror and she had her phone in her ear. "Yes, I'll talk to him! I love you too, happy birthday! I'll see you soon!" Lexi put her cell phone back in her purse, and she looked at me through the rearview mirror too. "She asked to enter the garage, the building is surrounded by paparazzi, she doesn't know how they found her apartment, but they're there."

"All right!"

I entered the street and saw some people with cameras sitting on the sidewalk, pressed the button for the parking gate of the building to open, I entered without being noticed.

Ella was standing in front of the elevator, she was wearing a black dress, with a plaid shirt tied at her waist, she was wearing black and white high sneakers, and for the first time, she was wearing makeup while wearing her glasses. Her hair was in a pink shade at the ends that were once blond, and her hair was more wavy than usual, she carried on her face a smile from ear to ear.

I pulled the handbrake and got out of the car, walked up to her with a smile bigger than hers if that was possible.

"You look beautiful!" I told you as soon as I stopped in front of you.
