Secretly Loving Him [MewGulf]

"Gulf, what happened to your face?"

"Huh?" said Gulf while cupping his face and smiling like an idiot. "Why what happened to my face?" He pats his face as he checks what Mild is referring to. 

His face is plastered with a blossoming smile. His eyes shone in a way that only deep happiness can bring. His usual pale skin is now tainted with red. And the more he thinks of what happened yesterday, the more burning it brings on his face. He sure is on cloud nine.

"You have no idea how happy I am today, Mild." Gulf said while shyly taking his seat. They are now in the room. Mild sat on Gulf's desk and is totally curious about why his bestfriend is like that right now.

"Yesterday, we-- Yesterday, I met P'Mew's parents." He wanted to scream but he had to suppress it not if he wants to catch the attention of everyone. 

"Everyone, Miss is already coming. Behave yourself like you suppose to do." It was Kaownah who spoke. And by the looks of it, it is as if he's directly telling it to Gulf, with his eyes rolling at him. He noticed that Gulf entered the room with full blast of happiness on his face. He already guessed that it was because of the assignment the two have to work on yesterday. And when he confirmed it, he couldn't control himself and said what he had said.

But Gulf didn't pay much attention to that. Instead, he looked at Mild and was about to tell him everything when his seatmate came. 

"P'Mew, you're already here." Gulf smiled at Mew but the receiving guy didn't smile back at him. But it was fine. Mew's like that everyday when he greets him. He's already used to it.

"So, am I now getting the whole story or not?" Mild asked when he noticed that Gulf lost his attention for Mew. But Gulf mouthed him no, so he just went back to his seat, annoyed and disappointed at the same time. He has later to hear the story, anyway. He'll just have to wait until break.

"Here is our interview with my parents. I already finalized everything. Had to add something but it's already done." Gulf took the folder from Mew and scanned it. "Thanks, Phi. You are the best."

Mew just nodded to Gulf and took out his phone to check the game of his favorite basketball team since their teacher is still not coming, or maybe she's absent. He puts on his wireless earphone. 

"Phi..." Gulf called Mew but he has already his earphones on. So he just decided to say it anyway even if Mew wouldn't be able to hear them. Or it's better that way, he thinks so. "P'Mew, I still can't believe that our parents are bestfriends. Yes, my parents told me about having bestfriends but since they are too busy with work, I haven't met them and lost interest in knowing them. Who would've thought that our assignment would lead me to them? 555+"

He's talking to himself. But little did he know, Mew noticed him when he called his name. He turned off the volume of his phone and listen to him instead. Even Mew is surprised yesterday to know that the friends his parents were talking about are Gulf's. 

"If only I knew that the gathering my parents always invite me to go to are with your parents, I should've come so I can meet you. We could've been bestfriends, too. But it is already too late to regret, right? Or is it not?"

He slightly tilted his head to see Mew who is still fixated on his phone. He was so grateful to see that Mew didn't heard everything he just said.

"Aish. What am I even talking about? P'Mew will laugh at me if he heard this. Good thing, he's got earphones in his ears. 555+" 

But that's just what he thought.

"P'Mew, let's go to the faculty room to check if Miss is absent or not." said Kaownah.
