It changed for the better. A Zack Merrick Fanfiction.

Chapter 13.

It had been a little over a month since the day of the meet and greet. So much has changed in so little time. In the words of one of my favorite movies my life has gone from 'Drool to Cool'. (I'm so sorry. I just like high school musical and that is my attempt of a joke.) Before that day, I was a loser with no hope, waiting for the perfect time to give up, to die and now.. now I'm one of the happiest girls ever. Before that day, I had a home that was not worth being called that. I had never been asked out. My friends had left me all alone to face the world. The world hated me and I knew it. I had to live with that feeling every single day of my life. Well now, I have a boyfriend. And not just any boyfriend... Zachary Steven Merrick, the man who was literally keeping me alive even before I knew him. He became my hope, my reason to live ; my everything. I had friends too. I had the people I loved the most and who I think like me too as my friends. Alex Gaskarth is like a brother to me.. the brother I never had and all this happened in just a month or so. I had started changing my perspective on life. Maybe 'hope' DID exist. Maybe all those hopeful people in the world aren't just kidding themselves. Maybe things can change for the better.

I snuggled closer into Zack's chest as I saw his eyes flutter open. It was 7 am and we had a long time ahead of us. Today was the day that Zack was taking me to the house that he grew up in. He had really wanted me to meet his parents but they were out of town so we decided to go there and spend the day. I was sort of glad that his parents were out. I didn't want them to think that their son was dating and emotional wreck, even though I had sobered down a lot over the last month.

He hopped of the bed and grabbed  me in his arms.  He kissed my forehead and then put me down. "Morning" he said and smiled shyly. Zack and I had been living together for a while now and we had literally seen each other naked multiple times, but I loved the way we still got shy around each other. It's just our personality I guess.. we're shy people. "Morning " I replied and smiled back at his beaming face. He was literally beautiful. "Come on Livia, get dressed. We have a long drive ahead of us." he said and hugged me to his side. "Mhm" I replied and took in a deep breath.

I walked over tot he shopping bags lying by my suitcase. Rian's girlfriend Cassadee had taken me out shopping even though we both hated it. The thing was than when I left my old house.. I didn't get my stuff with me so I really needed clothes. Plus Cassadde thought that I could use a change. She was a wonderful friend to have. She even urged me to buy clothes that were.. well unlike the ones I usally wear. I picked out one such outfit for the day. It wasn't a band shirt (even though I got loads of free band merch now that I was dating Zack.). It was a powder blue blouse. It was unlike me.. but I felt so happy inside that I was ready to wear anything. I wore it with some beige pants and well... my converse.(the ones that Zack signed). Also, I had recently coloured my hair a deep blue. Zack said he really 'digged' it and that was good enough for me. I made my hair look acceptable , did my make up and stared at my reflection in the mirror. It was still the same old me, with the same face and the same body but I still looked pretty. Prettier than usual. Maybe it was because I felt ecstatic inside. 

I walked out of the toilet and saw Zack standing there in a pair of black skinnies with a black and red checkered shirt on. He looked .. well.. perfect. His jaw dropped as he stared at me. "Well... this is.. unlike you." "I know " I said while grinning at him. "Well, I like it." he said as he put his hand on my butt and pulled me closer to him. My breath hitched and moments later my lips were on his. 

He pulled away and then grabbed his coat. It had started snowing now so we really needed woolens. I put on my coat as we headed out of his appartment.
