Sudden she hiccuped loudly. He turned his head towards her. She turned her head as well and quickly turned away to avoid embarrassment. She looked down again and hiccuped again. She covered her mouth with her hand this time.
‘Stupid hiccup! Does it have to come now when she was trying to intimidate him. Shit!! Even my body is betraying me’ she thought
He kept staring at her. He saw her closing her eyes in embarrassment. He chuckled and walked past away from there.
He walked through the long driveway as he is going to his office with ethan who was afraid to come to his doorstep because of Amelia. To his bad luck she happened to heard over their conversation of Amelia turning chubby these days and more grumpy. Literally Ethan ran out of there to protect himself from Amelia’s pregnancy hormones planning of assassinating him. She even threatened him in phone. So he requested chris to come out of the gates.
His smiling face encountered the smiling faces of his security guards. Since the time he appointed them they were just robotic. They never smiled at him but also never disrespected him. So he decided to know it.
“may I know why are you smiling?” chris tried hard not to sound cold. But his vocal cords betrayed him a little.
The guards were shocked. They didn’t know whether to disclose or not. But he is their owner and also knew how over suspicious he became since Amelia’s second pregnancy.
“s-s-sir, we are sorry. We saw krithi mam walking ruminating. She reminded me of my daughter. Sorry sir” one of the man in his early fifties replied.
“you no need to apologize to me. But you might have hurt her by smiling at her. You better apologize to her”
The guards smiled at each other and nodded at him.
Ethan drove to him and without a lapse he hopped in and they both drove away.
Krithi opened her one eye to look at him and found out that he had already left. She sighed in relief and went to the kitchen to gulp down some water.
She hated him for his dominance and bossing around character. She then left to rosy’s room.
Chris was smiling throughout his journey. He is really enjoying her are really happy today it seems” ethan said stealing glances at Chris before concentrating on the road.
“happy Maybe! before you ask me I am not going to reason out” Chris cutoff him before he open his question paper. This morning when he saw her as usual clad from neck to toe but the green she wore today she was really pretty and cute. When he saw her closing eyes he can’t peel himself off from the nose pin. He felt it strange.
He went to his office and straight away to his cabin. He sat there and tried to distract himself. he decided to let himself drown in work to distract from her.
“sir, there is something different in our project provided by mrs mehra?” lucas said giving the file to chris.
“I need to meet her” chris replied to him after studying it.
“Excuse me sir!”
mrs mehra walked in his office.
Chris looked up from his laptop and narrowed his eyes at the woman in her early fifties.
“I would like to know detailed info about the project you submitted recently?
Mrs mehra started sweating before him. He became more suspicious.
“I already have submitted it sir” mrs mehra replied tensed.
“I would like to be detailed mrs mehra. I don’t like repeating myself. I don’t think you would like to face the consequences” he said warned her.

In evening krithi happily walked out of the mansion since Amelia and Rosy really liked her food. Amelia even requested her to get more the next time.
“its okay. you really need not to. Its me who is always so.” She shrugged and smiled for the guards who apologized.
“also I would be very happy if you guys help me completing my mission breakfast of my aunt” she added and the guards chucked at her.
Later at night when she went home she saw her aunt staring into space assigning her brain a job of serious thinking.
“are you alright maa” krithi asked her sitting beside her on the couch.
she startled at her question but smiled at her.”I am absolutely fine dear”
hmm o-o-kay” krithi extended each syllable of ‘okay’ expressing her disbelief on her aunt’s assurance.
“uffff. See I am fine okay. You need not to become suspicious on me. Come lets have our dinner. Its my favorite.” Her aunt chirped looking at her and smiled as a chesire cat.
This made more suspicious but she shrugged off the thought thinking it might be some work pressure.
Later she slept early than usual as it is going to be a long day for her tomorrow. Her aunt, karthik and she are going to the diwali shopping. Diwali is hardly two days away. Its her favorite festival. She is really excited for the festival.
Chris returned home and on his way he enquired the guards about their apology, hearing them he went in laughing at her childishness and clumsiness. She would be like a kid more than rosy.
He liked her natural way of being complete freedom and ignoring other opinions and thoughts that tried to rub on us and change us into something we really didn’t like.

“Amelia I need to leave early today. I hope you don’t mind. Also I have involved rosy with work this evening. so you need not to worry” krithi asked her for the diwali shopping planned in advance.
“oh no, I wouldn’t dear. You need not to be formal. You can leave early” Amelia smiled and resumed her call.
Krithi left to her home early that day. She used to get a glimpse of him everyday since a few days. She felt relieved being escaped from him and his madness. She then along with karthik since her aunt cancelled her plan due to an office work,
They both shopped almost for 2 hours. Feeling hungry they both went to kfc. She sat there silently and watched karthik using staring his mobile. Their order is yet to be delivered. She stood up and quietly moved towards his side without his notice and flung her hand around him and said “she is more beautiful in this dress I think than the previous one”
Karthik who was deeply immersed in his mobile startled at her sudden presence and words and jerked a little. He blushed at her comments.
“She is not my girl friend” he said trying to cover his blush.
“ahhh. You are blushing baby boy” she teased him and pulled his cheek.
“arghhh it pains devil” he pushed her hands away.
“okay don’t come to this devil when maa chases you down the street if some stranger tells her about your blushing life” she smirked and turned her face away.
“oh no. I know that my angel di will definitely look after it. Afterall she is the best in this world” he tried to butter her.
She gave him a ironic smile and said ”but how can I? I am your devil right.” She faked hurt.
“who is that brainless to say that? I will do whatever you say di ji(used as a sign of respect)” he begged her.
She gave him a sheepish smile “fine baby boy oops sorry romeo. i am feeling pain in my hands due to heavy weight of bags. Also I can’t even decorate the living room I need someone help I think.
“sir your order please!”a waiter the man who was staring and throwing daggers at two people few tabled away from him who are talking and enjoying themselves ignoring others.
