Dr. Romantic

Chapter 2

Master Kim is surprised to see me and stops, but gets over it soon and continues with his work. He doesn't let others notice the sudden change in his face. He starts to give orders before anyone notices something different about him. But it seems that nurse Oh might have caught onto something. I decide to ignore my feelings as well and act that everything is normal. I get to work on a patient that just came in. The bleeding is too strong and it's hard soo anything. No matter how hard we try to stop and locate source of leak it's in vain. I put my hand in the wound and try to locate the source. Thankfully I'm able to find it like this and repair the leaking hole. We didn't have time for the pictures so we have to do it blindly. Due to my years of practice I can do it with my eyes closed. Thankfully the bleeding stops and we can take the patient to ct scan and then decide our further treating plan. I take off my bloody gloves when Master Kim comes to me.

" Follow me" he says strictly.

 I do as he says and follow him to his office. Everything is so quiet that you could even hear a dust dropping to the floor. He sits on his chair and signs.

" Why are you here?" he asks.

" I took a year vacation and am returning to my medical career now. However the hospital where I used to work before didn't have work to offer me and therefore they decided to send me to this hospital. Trust me I don't want to be here any more that you do."

"Is that so? If you don't want to work in this hospital then why don't you leave?"

"What? I'm sorry but didn't you hear me when I said that I had no other choice to be sent here. It's my first day at this hospital and you're telling me to leave? Are you even normal?"

" You said yourself that you didn't want to be here. I just gave you an option to leave."

"An option? Are you saying that you want me to stay here or are you really telling me to go?"

" You're a smart girl, you'll figure it out."

He heads toward the door but before he can go out I ask quietly: " You don't hate me?"

He turns around with look that I don't know

" Why should I hate you? Because you went to military instead of working in the medical field? Yes, I didn't like that idea, but that didn't make me hate you. I was a coward. I was afraid that one day I would hear that you never came back. So I left. I knew I column't change your mind. In that thing you're like me, when you decide on something you won't give up until you see it become real." He opens the door and starts to walk out but turns around just one more time

" We are more alike than you know. Now back to work dr." He chuckles and walks away.

 I am left in his office, inside a warm feeling that I haven't felt for a long time. I guess some things never change, no matter what happens between. I walk out of the office and close the door.

 "I guess coming to Doldam wasn't that bad after all" I think while smiling.
