"H-hello.. Hello? I-is t-this.. I-is this Mr. Kim Taehyung's p-phone? Please please please if it i-is, pick up the call, s-sir. I-it's an e-emergency!"

~

The wheels of Taehyung's car screached on the road a sharp turn and he was sure the pedestrians outsides could definitely smell the burning rubber.

Barely escaping the old couple walking their dog, the leather shoe with untied laces cumbered on the accelerator more than it already was, eyes narrowing to focus on the fairly isolated road consequent to having forgotten his glasses at home in all the bustle.

It was almost the last turn to their destination when he dared to look beside him, with a sentiment rare in his routine- hesitancy, and instantly regretted it.

Jungkook was curled up with his bare feet on the passenger seat, and it was then that Taehyung realized that he had forgotten to wear his shoes. His hair above the temple pointing outwards from being pulled at not long ago. One hand lifted to the lips where he chews on the nails and the other wrapped around his legs to collect them close to the chest.

He looked decimated.

Taehyung tuned out the enormous ruffling noises of wind that came from his overspeeding to focus on what the little one was mumbling monotonously while rocking back and forth in his seat. Then he wished he hadn't.

"It'll be okay, Kookie. It'll be okay." he chanted like a mantra that made Taehyung's inside churn in a dire need to get away from the situation.

Because his gut scream that this cantillation of how Jungkook's is going to be wrong. His gut knew that it was not going to be okay. And his gut has never been wrong.

Jungkook flew forwards from the impact of the sudden break, Taehyung only now realizing the other not wearing a seatbelt but like a lightning bolt, Jungkook was out of the car bolting into the building gate- no shoes, no jacket.

"Mister, you better calm down or I will have to call the security." Taehyung heard the receptionist the moment he stepped inside the building after hurriedly parking his car.

His teeth clenched tight when he saw the lady mundanely painting her nails while Jungkook leans completely on the counter with hands joined in beg. "M-ma'am p-please. You- you d-don't u-understand... I-I don't h-have anything w-with m-me. I-"

Taehyung jogged to the spot and held Jungkook by his waist making the said boy look up with eyes wide and red "T-tae she needs a-an identity p-proof b-but I- my w-wallet.. I l-left."

"Baby look, your friend is here to take you in." Taehyung gently point at the end of the hall where they spotted Jimin rushing towards them. Jungkook flew running forwards almost tripping twice and stumbling until Jimin takes hold of his arm and both sprint inside the hallway.

Sighing, Taehyung turned to the receptionist who now was fluttering her lashes at him with a flirty smile. "I know who you are." she twirled a strand round her finger.

"Oh, do you now?" fronting his best smirk he leaned both his elbows on the counter.

"Yeah.. You were on the Forbes last week." Taehyung smirked wider extending one hand, he slowly caressed a thumb on her cheek that travelled to her bottom lip and then downwards.

She smiled dragging teeth on her lip as Taehyung's hand slowly lugged through her neck.
The abrupt fall of his smirk was largely missed by her hooded eyes, but then the harsh tug on the badge hanging by her neck wasn't.
