CHAPTER 12

Team was starting to feel like a creep by the second, he had gotten little to no sleep, but seeing Win cuddled up next to him with his head hidden in the crook of his neck breathing softly was content enough for him. He had been caressing the messy blond strands of hair careful enough not to wake up the other male, his mind was on a wild rollercoaster ride,

Win had been through hell and back, having to deal with all the constant abuse, the taunting and Team was terrified that his issues with being overly possessive would come in the way or worse that it would drive the boy away from him, but he would see to it that it was never an option.

Team let out a sigh, Unable to think any longer as his phone lit up next to them, his landlord's name flashing across the screen, he immediately felt the telltale signs of dread, his landlord never called unless there was a problem, he slowly untangled Win's limbs from his, waiting for a couple of seconds to make sure that the boy was sleep before getting off the bed and walking towards the balcony,

"Hello?"

There was a rushed sound from the other side,

"Ai nong Team can you please come meet me? Something happened"

"My apartment was broken into"

The happy clutter around the kitchen in Win's house immediately dropped, four heads snapping around to meet his. No one spoke for a few moments, but once the words uttered by Team was registered in their heads, it was Yong who rushed over first,

"What?! When?"

Team shook his head,

"Last night I think, my landlord must have seen it this morning, he called me immediately after"

There was an unsaid question floating freely in the air but none of them wanted to acknowledge it, not when everything was more or less just starting to get better.

"P'Win is still asleep, I'm gonna go ahead and see what the damage is. If he asks for me when he wakes up please don't tell him what happened. He'll just panic and start to blame himself"

He turned around to leave, only to stop when he felt a heavy hand fall on his shoulder,

"Team, we'll come with you, I don't think it is very safe for you to go alone, especially if this is who I think it is"

Wad nodded, already making a grab at his car keys,

"Win will wake up late, he usually sleeps in until afternoon if he has a nightmare the day before. We'll go check it out and come back before he wakes up"

Team merely shook his head even more firmly,

"We can't leave Hia alone, I'll be okay to go by myself phi"

"Win won't be alone Team. The caretakers are here all day. They know to inform us immediately should something happen. We took responsibility for you too remember. Let's go"

His voices of reasons went unheard as they ushered him out of the house but not before firmly advising the caretakers to keep an eye on Win.

The drive to his apartment felt like hours, he already had a bad feeling about leaving Win by himself even with the caretakers around, his heart threatened to burst out of his chest the closer they got, not knowing what to expect when arrived in his apartment.
