Chloe's POV
This date shouldn't be as awkward. We've had one before. It's like a second honeymoon or something like that. I'm excited. Beca wouldn't tell me what we're doing. I soon hear a knock on the door. That must be her. I sprinted down the stairs hoping to beat my parents to the door. I failed.
"Hello Beca! It's so great to see you again!" My mom said pulling her into a hug. "Why don't you come in."
She stepped to the side to let Beca in. Beca was as always being her awkward little self.
"Uh thanks Cindy. It's good to see you again." Beca said still standing awkwardly by the door.
"Is Beca here?" My dad asked popping his head out from the living room.
"Hello Charlie." Beca said with a wave only to be pulled into another Beale hug.
"It's great that you're here again. Are you here for Chloe?" My dad asked.
"Uh yeah." Beca said nodding and shoving her hands in her pockets.
They continued to ask her questions with big smiles on both faces. I couldn't help let out a giggle finally making my presence known.
"Chloe Thank god." My father gave her a small glare causing Beca blush slightly. "I mean Chloe hey what's up."
"Hey Becs." I say still trying not to laugh.
"Um we should probably get going." Beca said pointing to the door. "I Uh made dinner reservations."
"Oh right you two have a date." My mom said smile never fading.
We quickly left the house and headed to Becas car. She opened the door for me then walked over to her side.
"Dinner reservations huh?" I asked raising my eyebrows.
"Yeah I made that up." Beca ado smiling sheepishly. "I needed an excuse so they'd let us leave sooner."
"You're smart." I say laughing. "Where are we actually going then?"
"To a park to just walk around and talk wether you like it or not." Beca said with an easy smile.
"Sounds great." I say smiling before looking out the window.
Before long Beca parked her car in the parking lot. She quickly got out to open my door like she did every date. She quickly interlocked out fingers as we walked in silence.
"Did you even kiss Jesse?" I asked breaking finally breaking the silence.
"No." Beca answered laughing. "We would hug yeah but I couldn't bring myself to do it."
"You're a lesbian through and through." I say with a teasing tone.
"Hell yeah. No boys are coming near these lips." She said gesturing to them causing me to break out in giggles. She's really good at making me laugh.
"What about girls?" I questioned with a smirk.
"Only one girl." She said with a serious tone.
"And who's that?" I casually asked even though Im pretty sure I knew the answer.
"She's this really pretty redhead named Chloe. You might know her." She said looking at me with a smile.
"You're so weird." I say trying to stop myself from giggling.
"Again it's part of the Mitchell charm." Beca said casually smirking.
We talked about random things trying best to stay away fro the topic of school because ew. Beca still desperately wants to change Aubrey's set list. It's like nothing changed. Soon enough we were back in the car driving to my house. I was honestly kind of sad it ended so soon.
"Ah the doorstep. We meet again." Beca said once we arrived at the door.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked with a small laugh.
"I never got to kiss you after our first, first date." Beca explained as if it was the most simple thing on the planet. "But I refuse to leave without getting a kiss."
"Darn guess I'll just have to kiss you." I say leaning forward and connecting our lips.
Once we parted Beca just smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too." I say giving her one more soft kiss. "Goodnight Beca. See you Monday."
"See you Monday." She echoed before I closed the door behind me.
I just stood there a few minutes. Just smiling. I was about to head up to my room before my mom stopped me.
"What's got you so smiley?" She asked with a smile of her own.
"Nothing it's just Beca." I say casually.
"You're different with her, did you know that?" My mom asked sipping on some tea.
"What do you mean different?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows.
"You smile more, laugh more, you're just overall happier." She said placing down her cup. "You've never been like this with anyone. I definitely think she's a keeper."
"I agree." I say smiling. "Anyway I'm pretty tired I think I'm gonna head to bed."
"Alright goodnight sweetie. I'm glad that you two are back together." She said bring me into a hug.
"Me too mom. Me too." I say staying in her embrace a bit longer.
Once we parted I walked upstairs and quickly got ready for bed. I may or my not have drifted off to sleep and dreamed about mine and Becas family. (I definitely did).
