Since Lord Garmadon's disappearance, peace has returned to Zenjago. With their guard down, the Ninja find themselves thrown back into action when Garmadon's daughter Ally releases the five warring tribes of Serpentine, a race of snake-people who once ruled over Zenjago before being sealed away in underground tombs.
Now led by the treacherous Pythor P. Chumsworth, last of the fearsome Anacondrai, seeks to reunite the four tribes and awaken the Great Devourer, an indestructible giant serpent that grows the more it consumes.
The Ninja face their hardest challenges yet as they race against the clock to protect Zenjago. In the meantime, a mysterious Ghost raises the stakes, and the Ninja seek the identity of the legendary Green Ninja, spoken of in a prophecy.
