"Hello, my dear! Welcome baaack!""Hi, Tamaki." I just rolled my eyes, and started to go into my dressing room for the next meeting.
"Oh nono, we have an off day today, didn't I text you?"
"O-oh! Yeah, I got a new phone. Sorry about that."
The big lie was that I never actually opened it.
"Well, baby, we have a whole week off for holiday's! Where would you like to go, my sweetheart?" Tamaki pushed up against me, and held my hand to his lips.
"Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" He said, gazing into my eyes.
"...More than once."
"A-ah! I'm sorry!" He backed away, blushing furiously.
How can I tell him? He's way too sweet for this...
"Tamaki, I have something to tell you." I sighed, trying to hold back tears.
"Yes, sweetheart?" Tamaki went behind my and latched his arms onto my body, hugging me close.
"It's about your grandma."
It sounded like he was trying to hold back regret, but he spoke. "What about her?"
I couldn't bring myself to say it... so I turned around, and gave him the note I had gotten in the mail.
Dear Haruhi Fujioka,
Hello. We've met before. I will keep this short, as not to keep you waiting. But I advise you to stay away from Tamaki Suoh, or horrible things may happen to Tamaki.
Kind Regards, Shizue Souh
There was complete silence in Music Room 3.
He sat down on the floor, and pushed his hands up against his face.
Haruhi felt useless. She was the one who started this. He could've had a better life without her, anyways. Why just make his life worse? Questions filled her head.
All she could do was watch. Watch him break.
She sat down next to him, and laid her head on his shoulder. They sat like that for an hour.
Just her, Tamaki, and the echo of almost silent cries.
"H-Haruhi?" He hiccuped through his words.
She turned to him, eyebrows saddened.
"I love you, and she can't take that away from me like she has with everything else." He gave a weak smile, tears still forming on his face.
"I-I love you too." They both smiled at eachother, and then ran into eachothers arms.
Of course she was in love. And his grandma couldn't take that away. She felt selfish, but they both wanted this. They wanted the risks.
"I'm not going home. I'm staying in your arms. I'll be by your side. No matter the costs."
And he kept his promise.
