Returning to Fairy Tail

Hello Everyone! Welcome back and thank you for supporting and reading my book. I hope 2021 is a good year for yall and I wish yall many blessings. This chapter is super long since there is so much that happens. I hope yall like it and yeah that's about it! I'm a bit more stable so I think I'll be a bit ok. 2020 killed me and drained my energy. I lost a lot of people and I almost lost my brother but luckily I didn't. Be safe with everything that happens in the world. Put a mask on when you leave and put gemx on as well. Stay safe in general or if want just stay home. That's what I did, I didn't go to school and rarely left my house. Anyway, let's get this chapter started!

Luke's P.O.V

As Nashi and I walked through the forest for what seemed to be forever, we finally made it to the entrance of the flying cafe. Thank you Mavis because if I had to walk one more step while hauling a heavy-ass bastard on my back I swear I will drop him here on the spot. Since Frosty was unable to make us another staircase we were only left with one option: we had to use our magic.

Nashi looked at me and sighed once again. "So... which one of us is going to use our powers."

I didn't mind, especially because I enjoyed using my power since it reminded me of home." I simply said, "I'll do it if you don't want to."

Nashi nodded and turned away, "I feel like if I use my powers I'll be reminded of how we had to erase Storm's memory... It feels so wrong and the guilt is starting to get to me.

I sighed and turned around to look at Nashi, "Sis... I get that you feel guilty and all but what choice do we have? Do you want to drag some who don't even know about our past into our problem? If you ask me, we did the right thing and regardless if we did drag the guild into it then we would risk letting them know who our real mother is and who we are."

Nashi stared at the ground for a long time in silence and then looked back up at me, "I know you're right but is it a bad thing if we let them know who we are? What if when we tell them, dad would love us like his own. We could be a family... we can have an actual family... don't you want that?" tears were starting to form in her eyes and they slowly flowed out.

I threw Storm to the ground and went to hug Nashi. "Nash... do you think that I don't want a family? Of course, I do but remember what mom said. She said that she wants Natsu to be happy with whoever he chooses and he didn't choose mom. He chose that Lisanna girl and if he's happy with her then we have to let him be... " as much as those words pained me to say, I had to say them. "If he knew that he had children then we would just be tying him down and be a burden to him... and the guild would just be in danger if we told them. The bad guys already know that we are here. Do you believe that they won't track us down? This is for the best for everyone." I hugged her closely and I could feel her body shake as I told her that. I don't care about anyone else, I only care about Nashi. She is my only family here and I will protect her at all cost.

"I guess you're right but do you think that we would burden our dad?" She asked as she pulled away.

"I don't know what to think if I'm being honest. Whether we are a burden to him or not is up to him but I just don't want to rely on him when he hasn't even been there for our mother or us. To me... he isn't worth calling our father but it's not like I can rewrite who I am biologically related to." I run my hand through my hair and stare at the sky as the clouds pass by. I sigh and look at the flying cafe.

"Do you think that if he knew who we were that he would love us? Or ask about mom?" Nashi asked innocently.

As much as I want to tell her what I truly think I know that I shouldn't. As I look at her my eyes soften and I pat her head, "Nash... I think that if he knew who we were it would put his life in danger, but if the situation was different then I think that he would love you just as much as mom and I love you." I give her a small hug and then turn around to face the flying cafe.
