Five Days to Fall in Love

Today was the day. Osoro was going to confess her feelings to Enji, no matter what happened. Despite how late she went to bed, she got up early. She wanted to catch Enji before school started so she had a chance to talk to him without anyone else interrupting. Because of this, she didn't stop to get anything to eat. She'd just have to settle with something from the vending machine... Luckily enough, she did run into Enji on the way. She called out to him and he turned around and waited for her.

"Osoro."

"Huh?" He... didn't greet her like he normally did. "Hey. You alright?"

Enji smiled softly. "I'm fine."

"Hey, are you still upset about yesterday?" Enji stayed quiet. "Look, I'm sorry, alright? I had some things on my mind, and I didn't want to talk with anyone."

"It's... quite alright. I'm not mad at you, if that's what you're wondering. I was actually worried that I did something to upset you."

"No, you didn't do anything wrong!"

"That's good to hear..."

"... I... wanted to ask you. Are... you doing anything after 6?"

"Well... Geiju wants us to draw the cherry blossom tree on the hilltop at 5... Apparently, it's mandatory, too. I... should be free for six, though... Is there any reason why you ask?"

"Do... you think you could, well... wait for me there?"

Enji looked at her. "You want me to wait for you there?" She nodded. "Is there a reason why?"

"It's just... really important, you know? I don't want to talk about it now.

"I understand. I'll wait there for you!"

"Thanks... I'll get there a few minutes before then. Maybe around... five minutes before?"

"Mm... by that time, we should already finish cleaning up, so there's no problem!"

"It's settled, then." Osoro's stomach grumbled and she groaned.

"Are you hungry?"

"I guess. I... skipped breakfast so I could have a chance to talk with you."

Enji's eyes widened. "Osoro, you can't go around skipping meals all day! You could end up fainting!"

"I'll get something to eat, it's fine."

Enji sighed and placed a hand over his forehead. "Now I'm the one asking what I'm going to do with you..." Osoro chuckled. "... Did you eat the dinner I made you?"

"I did. It was really good."

Enji smiled. "I'm glad you enjoyed it!"

"Thanks for that, by the way. The way I was acting, I probably wasn't going to even bother stopping anywhere to pick up some food."

Enji chuckled. "I guess I know you better that we realized!"

"Don't flatter yourself too much..."

"I suppose you're right. If anything, I should be flattering you!"

"I'm starting to regret coming up to you..." Enji chuckled. The two of them spent the rest of the time talking about whatever came to mind until they reached the school.

"There you are! Where were you yesterday?" Gaku asked as Osoro walked over to them. She shrugged.
