So I've had this in my drafts for months, literally since August last year but I forgot about it 😂
I've got more one shots in my head, but I'm incredibly busy at the moment so maybe soon I'll write something new if it's of interest :)Ant was relaxing in bed on one of his days off when his phone rang at 7am, he lifted it up to see that it was Dec and with worry in his voice he answered the phone, "Alright Declan? What's up?"
"Oh mate, Ali and Isla are ill. I dunno what to do."
"What's up with them both?"
"I think Ali has food poisoning as we went out for dinner last night, and Isla's worked up a fever. She's not eating, she's crying, she hardly slept last night. Mate you need to help me here, I'm so tired as I've been up with Isla since 1 this morning and I can't help but feel annoyed because I am that tired!"
"Alright, alright. I'll be like 30 minutes or something. I've got my key so I'll let myself in."
"No! I can't wait 30 minutes!"
"Declan Joseph Oliver Donnelly. Don't get arsey with me, I can't fly. If you're that desperate call Stephen, he's Isla's godfather too, and he literally lives around the corner from you. Like literally. Now calm down, call
Mullers if you need and I'll be over in half an hour, ok?""I'm sorry. I'm just annoyed and I'm taking it out on you. I'll ring Stephen and I'll see you in a bit. Bye mate." Ant hung up the phone and busied himself with trying to get ready as quick as he could without disturbing Anne Marie and her daughters anymore than he probably already had.
"I'll see you later Amzie. Ali and Isla are ill so I'm going over. I'm sure I'll probably need your help at some point though."
"That's fine, don't worry about me. Go and help Dec out." They kissed each other goodbye and Ant made his way to Chiswick.

Meanwhile, Dec had called Stephen and was over almost as soon as Dec had ended the call to him.
"I can't stay for too long Dec, I've got to record Catchphrase. Where's Isla?"
"She's in her room upstairs. I've never seen her like this Stephen."
"Well I'm no doctor. Let's go and see what's up with her." They both made their way upstairs into Isla's room. As soon as she saw her Uncle Stephen, she squealed, before starting to cough, "what's her temperature?"
"It's changed overnight but she's cooled down now," Dec checked Isla's temperature again, "it's 38°C. Is that normal?"
"I don't know Dec. I think it's borderline."
"Well you've had nieces and nephews, you must know something!"
"Ok, ok. Calm down Dec. Maybe to be on the safe side call her doctor?"
"A doctor? She's not that ill is she!? Oh shit."
"Not in front of Isla, Dec! Calm down, go and see Ali and I'll give Isla some Calpol and see if she'll eat. If her temperature doesn't start to come down in the next couple of days then you should take her to the doctors. It's normal for babies and young children to have colds more than us because of their immune system. Don't look so worried."
