Chapter Two: The Good old Days

     We got back to SHIELD Headquarters and Steve quickly walks away. "Wait, Steve where are you going?" I ask as I go to walk with him. "Fury's office. I'll see you later." He replies. He walks quicker to show me not to follow him. I raise my arms a bit in the air frustrated. "Okay then." I turn around towards Natasha.

    "Yeah, you're right. I'm definitely not getting that date." I lightly laughed." Nat smirks and says, " Well, I wouldn't say that. " I smiled at that. " Well, I'm sure we are needed elsewhere?" Nat shrugs a bit. "Not for a bit. No new mission report." I look around and notice a few people staring at us. Weird. I turn back to Nat. "I guess that means we can go home?" Nat lightly shakes her head. "No, not yet. I'm your ride home and I have a few things to do." 

    I sigh, "Okay. Lead the way." Nat walks towards one of the elevators and I quietly follow.

     I finally got to my apartment after Nat dropped me off. I live in the same apartment building as Steve. I'm two apartments down from him. 

    I hear my phone ring. Nat's already calling me? I just got home. I get my phone out of my jacket pocket and all my stress went away as I saw it was Steve who was calling me.

   "Hey." I said, answering. " Just so you know, I forgive you." He laughed. "What did I do to earn your forgiveness?" I joked. "Being a good friend." I smiled at that response. "Did you make it home okay? I know Nat obviously didn't give you a ride." I said as I started setting my stuff down on my coffee table. "I rode my bike. I am also not home." He said.

    "You're not? Where'd you go then?" I asked confused. "I went to the Smithsonian Museum." The Smithsonian? Why?

    "So Nat was right, you are a fossil." I joked, then I added seriously. "Why'd you go there?" He sighed and said, "They have an exhibit dedicated to Captain America so I thought I'd check it out." I nodded even though he couldn't see me. "Oh, I see. Showing your support then?" "I guess you could say that." I quietly laughed. "Well, I'll have to go see that exhibit sometime." 

    "You should. Maybe I'll tag along." I widely smiled. "I'd love that." 

   "Well, I better go. Need to start heading home." "Yeah, well I'll see you later." "Okay, Goodbye." I heard that and then I hung up. I sat my phone on my coffee table as well. I went to my bedroom to start changing into some more comfortable clothes.
