Campus story

Part 6

Ragini looks at her father. Pappa would surely have misunderstood me, she thinks. But, Shekar smiles as he comes near her.

"Haven't you gone home yet?" he asks

Ragini understands that Shekar hasn't seen this.

"No dad, I said know.. extra time for that project work thing.." she says. and asks again,
"But, why are you here papa?"

Shekar says, "Just came  with my colleagues for a office meeting." 

They both board the bus to their home. 

(I'm not understanding what to write.. thinking since long time)

Ragini:: I need a scooty. please buy for me dad..

Janaki:: Learn cycle first! Then we can think about scooty.

Ragini:: It's  getting late in college, I need a transport. 

Shekar:: You have to learn driving first. Without learning how can we buy? 

Ragini:: I want a scooty..! I want a scooty..! 

Janaki:: Ok fine!! We will get it. Start learning from tomorrow! 

Ragini says 'Yay' in excitement. Because she need not have to sit on other's bike. But, till her parents buys it, she has to wait! 

The next day also all the project team members leave on their vehicles and Ragini remains alone. Her instinct says, Laksh will come for her. She hears the bike sound and she assumes it's him. Her lips crawls in smile unknowingly and she turns back to find Sanskar. She shocks. 

"Haven't you left sir?" she asks

"Are you alone? Is there no one to drop you? Come, I will drop you." he says. Ragini quite amazes that Sanskar is talking to her politely. 

"No, it's ok sir. I will walk.." she says. 

Just then they hear other bike sound and it's Laksh. Ragini smiles. 

"Shall I drop you? come." Laksh says. 

Ragini is about to get on his bike, while Sanskar laughs. 

"Wow. She wanted to walk when I asked, but she is ready to come with you. What's going on between you both?" asks Sanskar. 

Laksh:: mind your words Sanky! 

Ragini:: it's not like that sir, yesterday also Laksh sir dropped me. So..

Sanskar:: oh, you guys are dating already!? 

Ragini becomes perplexed with Sanskar's words. 

Laksh:: shut up Sanskar..! 

Ragini stops them, "Please stop fighting. I'm going on my foot." she says and starts walking. While Laksh and Sanskar silently watch her. Ragini whimpers in herself, "I wish I have a bike too!" 

Laksh gets down from the bike and pushes Sanskar. 

"What is your problem? Are you jealous that a beautiful girl is coming with me." he asks. 

Sanskar laughs and says, "Do you think she will fall for you? Are you the only hero here?" 

Laksh:: what if she falls for me? Will you accept I'm the hero and you are not!
