"What time is it?" I shouted above the crowd noise into Theo's ear. My shouting was highly unnecessary though, considering I was already pressed flush against him, grinding to the music that I hated to admit was actually pretty damn good. XR1 had gotten substantially better over these past few months. Or maybe it was the multiple tequila shots I had thrown back in the past twenty minutes.

"Eleven fifty-five." Theo shouted back, his voice equally as slurred and his hands a little too grabby on my backside, but it didn't bother me. Theo was like a brother to me. A super good looking, charming, fantastic dancing brother. A brother I had kissed once. Okay, so maybe he was more like my late in life step brother. Like Paul Rudd in Clueless.

"You look really hot tonight by the way. I don't think a single guy in this club has taken their eyes off of you." He smirked, showcasing his pair of perfect dimples.

I pushed my hand through my long wavy hair, letting my eyes wander past him, over the crowd, searching for one pair of eyes in particular. Deep burning hazel eyes that were attached to the most beautiful face in here. Bingo. Asher stood across our small section, his arm slung lazily around Sophia's petite shoulders, but his entire focus was on me. He held up his phone in his free hand and tilted his head to one side.

I felt around in my bra and stealthily plucked out my own phone, never missing a beat with Theo.

If you're trying to make me jealous...it's working...

I grinned, pushing my backside further against Theo's crotch and he moaned a little, digging his hands into my hips.

Why don't you come over here and take over then?!

Little blue dots appeared on the screen and then disappeared immediately, I lifted my head to look for Asher again, but he was gone. "I'm going to find our waitress to get something else to drink." I grumbled and kissed Theo once on the cheek. "Do you want anything?" He shook his head and allowed me to peel my sweaty body away from his.

"Two minutes until midnight Cinderella Barbie." Theo wiggled his eyebrows at me and I nodded, thanking him for the time check. I had two minutes to try and steal one last twenty-one year old kiss from Asher and secure my first twenty-two year old one, but considering I didn't even see him, the odds weren't in my favor.

I somewhat stumbled through the VIP section, tapping various shoulders and asking girls as politely as I could to move. I may be intoxicated and frustrated, but Tennessee manners never died. Even when stilettos repeatedly stomped on my toes and I was shoved sideways into various pairs of arms that pushed me back. Except for one.

"I'm sorry." I slurred, pressing my hands against a very taught, very handsome chest, where a slew of tattoos peaked out beneath the collar of a simple black T-shirt. My eyes raked slowly from the intricate designs they held, to his smooth tan neck, past his strong jawline with a days worth of stubble, and the most intense pair of hazel eyes. Eyes that were looking directly into me. I grinned widely from the way he held me so close to his chest, but he put a finger to his full lips, his eyes darting around beneath the bill of his hat.

He tilted his head to one side before dropping the bill further over his eyes and pulled me through the crowd. His head was down, but he still maneuvered effortlessly through the sea of people as I stumbled behind him in my ridiculous heels. I didn't know where we were heading or why, but I didn't care. Asher Adams could lead me wherever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and I was his for the taking.

After what seemed like an eternity, he came to an abrupt halt in the furthest corner of the building, where the darkness seemed to settle, and the bright lights from the stage could not reach. A few other inebriated patrons milled about, but none were focused on us. Still, I felt my heart hammer inside of my chest as Asher turned quickly and pulled his hat off, setting it backwards on my head.
