It was Sapnap.

"Sapnap?!" I yelled. I scurried over to the brunet and gave him a hug. "It's actually you!" I'd never met an online friend in person before so this was very new to me.

Sapnap hugged me back before letting go and looking at me up and down, "You're much shorter than I imagined." I frowned which made him laugh.

I checked my phone to see if Dream was still on the call, he was. "Dream, did you do this?" He giggled in reply and whispered a 'maybe'. "How did you even find me?"

"Well Dream told me that you were in trouble and asked me to pick you up. He said you were at the Whole Foods on Post Oak Boulevard and I live like ten minutes away so I came to get you." We started walking out of the store while he continued, "I'm surprised we've never bumped into each other before considering how close by we live to one another."

"Wait so where do you live?" I asked him.

"Me? I live at the Residences at Kirby Collection."

"You live there?! Those apartments are huge," and surprisingly not that far from where I lived.

"And I'm guessing you live at Hanover Post Oak?" I nodded my head. "That's a pretty badass place."

We neared a silver car and he opened the passenger door for me before shutting it as soon as I sat down. After he got in, he started the car and we drove off down the street. We passed by my apartment building and I looked at it through the car window.

I still couldn't believe what I had done. Not once in my life did I ever think I would be the one to leave. I figured Jake would just get tired of me one day and just break up with me. He always told me that I wasn't worth his time, that he was getting bored. But now that I was out of there, I couldn't help but wonder why I stayed so long.

"Y/n? Are you okay? You haven't talked at all," Sapnap asked. We were at a stoplight, so he was able to look at me without worrying about looking at the road.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking," Dream had hung up the phone when he knew I was safe and sound in Sapnap's car but he texted me to make sure I was okay. I texted him back saying I felt better and asked if we could call later.

"So Dream asked if you could stay at my place for a while and I said it's okay as long as you're comfortable with it," I nodded in response.

The car was getting cold, but it didn't surprise me considering I had left in the same short pajama shorts I put on earlier that day. I saw goosebumps form on my thighs and shortly thereafter, started shivering just a little. I tried to stop myself but Sapnap noticed. Without saying anything, he reached over and turned down the AC. I quietly thanked him.

The rest of the car ride was silent.

When we arrived, we got out up front where valet took his car and we walked into the lobby. I carried my backpack in my hands instead of on my back so I could talk to Marie while in the elevator.

"Hey beautiful. You doing okay in there?" She just closed her eyes and purred. A valid response.

Sapnap's eyes lit up. "Oh my god. Can I pet her?" I nodded and he softly stroked her head. "She's so cute. What breed is she?"

"A birman." We talked about our pets and whatnot. He asked if Marie was okay with other animals around, which she was. It turned out he had three other cats and a dog.

We reached the thirteenth floor and walked to the door leading to his apartment. He unlocked it and held the door open for me. It was very spacey. His kitchen was connected to the living room just like mine but the space was much bigger. He had stairs that led up to the bedroom and the bathroom. Overall, Sapnap was definitely living way better than I was.
