Oh, He Didn't Know (Leo Valdez x Female Reader)

Chapter 2

A/N: F/F is favorite food

Y/N POV

Y/N hated dying. 

There was a flash of bright white light and a loud bang as the wall exploded and you and Leo were thrown backwards into the far wall. I'm dead aren't I?Wait, I can still hear things! So I'm not dead! Yay! I still can't see anything though, just bright light.  I don't think I am dreaming anymore. Oh! Wait there is a fuzzy outline.

As the shape slowly focused you saw a beautiful blind woman that was a snake at the bottom. You also saw that she was about to bite off your head. 

"You will die now Y/N L/N." The thing said.

"What is that thing!" You shouted. You scrambled backwards against the wall. You started sneezing really loudly which was drawing the monsters attention. You were frozen with fear, but as she approached the sounds of you trying not to sneeze she was consumed by flames and with one last screech she fell to that floor, burnt to a crisp and most certainly dead.

"That, my cariño was, I think, a Lamia." 

"A Lama?"

"No a Lam-eee-aaaaa."

"Aah. I see. Now that I know it's a Lam-eee-aaaaa I totally know why it was trying to kill me how it died."

"Y/N it was trying to eat you but than I burnt it." He lit his hands on fire to show you how.

"OK...........Thanks, I guess." Now that the walls were on fire and Leo's hands were near his face you could get a better look at him. He had a pointy, sort of elfish face, curly black hair surrounding his head. He was scrawny in build, but, as you knew from experience he had some muscle hidden under there. Wow, this guy just saved my life and all I said was "Thanks."?

"Thank you, I really like being alive and I don't want to die andwhatisgoingonandwhatamIgoingtodo?!" You began to cry a bit which was surprising because you never cried but you felt sick and in pain and confused and angry all at once. You expected him to leave the room  or something but he came and sat down beside you. Now that he was right here you were beginning to feel ashamed for breaking down like that, but you couldn't stop crying so you just hid you face in your F/C pajamas.

Leo's POV

What do I do? I don't know how to comfort someone like that. I forced my legs to walk over and sit down. I slowly put my arm around her and she started crying into my shirt. She felt so small and vulnerable, the opposite of when we had been fighting. I held her in my arms for who knows how long, it could have been minutes or hours.

 Then, not wanting to, I gently a pried her off me and said that we had to leave right away because the mortal police and more monsters would be coming soon.

"OK." She said in a small voice. "But first I need to check on Isla."

"Alright, let's go."

As Y/ N made her way to Isla's bedroom I saw her become increasingly nervous and I realized she really did care about her. As she went in I stayed outside the bedroom door to give her some privacy. She went in. 

Nothing. Nothing. And then.... laughing. Quiet, stuttering, I-am-laughing-but-trying-to-be-quiet-at-the-same-time kind of laughing. I peeked in. There was Y/N, sitting on the floor laughing at something. I went all the way into the room and saw that Isla was still asleep. She had slept throughout the whole monster attack. 

I started laughing too and soon we had to leave the room because Isla has started to mumble things like; 

"No, Dan, I love you like a goose. " and "Who put fries in my oatmeal?" And we didn't want to wake her up.

------Time skip to when you were out of the building------

Y/N POV

As the wall exploded some of the shrapnel had embedded into Leo's side and your leg and so you were supporting each other as you hobbled to get a car.

You couldn't call a taxi because it was 3:06 a.m. by Leo's watch but Leo led you into an alley where you saw a golden suitcase. Leo knelt down and fiddled with something on the side of it and the suitcase started to expand and grow, transforming into a metal dragon.

"Say hello to Festus Y/N."

"Awesome! Lets go!"

Leo helped you aboard the dragon and slowly took off. You tried to hold in a scream of excitement but it didn't work.

"WOOOOOOOOO!" you screamed. Leo screamed with you.

"You need to eat this Y/N. It will heal your leg."

You took the flask from him and took a sip. It tasted like liquid sushi but somehow still delicious.

"What does it taste like?"

"F/F" You said. "Why?"

"It tastes different for different people. for me it tastes like Fonzies."

"Oh, I like Fonzies. They are terrible for you though."

---------A few minutes later---------

"Now this is all fine and dandy, but you need to explain everything. Now."

As Leo explains what happened and stuff you start to drift off and before you know it you were sound asleep on Leo's shoulder.

Leo's POV

She looks so innocent asleep. I've seen her so many different ways now; Afraid, angry, laughing her head off, vulnerable and now peaceful. It's a good thing she is asleep now, she really needs the rest, I think she has a cold and the nectar sometimes makes people sleepy. I hope she'll be ok.

I brushed a piece of her hair out of her face gently.

"Sweet dreams, my cariño."

This actually happened to me once! I was on a bus ride with my mortal crush and it was three in the morning and he fell asleep  on my shoulder and then I fell asleep on his head and then he woke up and apologized and then he did it again twice more before we got home(not that I minded in the least).
