~Hannah Dangly~

Autumn and Lexi pulled me up the stairs. I know I want to look good, but this has to be an over reaction, right? They sat me down in front of Autumn's make-up desk and began the transformation. First, they did my make-up, putting on the foundation, adding purple eye shadow. Next they smothered my lips with a light tulip purple adding mascara to my eyelashes. They decided against the blush since I do that naturally whenever I'm with Dane.

Next they went to my hair. First, they started putting it into crazy positions and laughing at me. Then Autumn called Karter up saying that she was hopeless with hair and she should take over. Karter quietly shooed Autumn and Lexi out and went to work. She took out the curling wand and let it heat up. She looked over my makeup and decided on a simple curly messy bun. After curling each strand, she gently brushed them back into a ponytail, letting the curls closest to my face fall down. "Who's that gorgeous girl in the mirror? You would never know that you took a swim fully clothed today," Karter smiles. I blushed, not knowing how to take the compliment.

As she twisted the rest of the hair into a bun, Autumn, Alex, and Lexi came crashing into the room. "Dane's here and he's downstairs waiting for you!" Lexi exclaimed. "I don't even have my dress on yet!" I breathed. "Don't worry I got this. Karter, Alex, and Lexi go stall Dane, I will fix Hannah into the dress," Autumn commanded.

They quickly exited the room chattering queitly. Autumn bounded to her closet and threw it open. Shirts and dresses came tumbling out. She shifted through the mess of floral patterns and found what she was looking for. She pulled out a beautiful light purple dress. It had thick straps and went down just past the knees. It flowed when she turned to hand it to me. "Stop admiring and start putting it on!" Autumn exclaimed. She handed me the dress and I stripped down. M

When I finally had the dress on, Autumn made me twirl for her. The dress was embroidered with swirling flowers that slowly crawled up the right side. "You look bueatiful," she squealed. I turned to look into the mirror. She was right, my hair looked flawless and my makeup corresponded with the dress perfectly. I've truly never looked so good. I turned around and ran to Autumn, wrapping her into a big hug. "Thank you," I muttered about to tear up. "You're welcome, but lets go show Dane how hot you can look," she said a smile on her face.

We walked down the stairs as Autumn went on and on about how Dane will flip out when he sees me. "I bet he'll have to hide a popeye!" she squealed. I elbowed her in the stomach. "No he won't. He probably won't even care," I said. "Gasp, he will to, you look stunning."

A smile formed on my face. He will be amazed, I thought. We reached the end of the stair case and walked into Autumn's living room where Dane, Lexi, and Karter were sitting. Alex must have left again!

Dane looked like he was about to die. He fidgeted in his seat. Karter and Lexi must have been talking about some awkward things. Autumn interrupted their conversation by clearing her throat. Karter and Lexi looked up a smile plastered on their faces. Dane looked up and around, trying to figure out where the noise had come from. He swiveled his head around and met my eyes. He stood up and his eyes slowly went down my frame.

His jaw dropped and he stammered, "Um...um...Hannah...you...um..look...um." "Beautiful," Karter piped up. "Um yeah, beautiful," he stated trying to gain back his dignity. "Thank you and you look very handsome this afternoon," I said. He was in a white Hurley shirt, his brown hair was tossled just slighty to make him look more rugged, and was wearing dark jeans complimented by a black pair of All Stars. "So baby, you ready to go?" he asked coming over to wrap his arms around my waist. "Ready as soon as you are," I mumbled, suddenly aware of my friends eyes on us.

"Ooooooo" went up around the room. I blushed all the way to my cheeks, the ones that weren't visible. Dane smiled and turned to my friends. "Goodbye ladies," he said and bowed. "Goodbye guys." I shouted over my shoulder as he turned me away. "Goodbye lovebirds," Lexi called. "Text me all about it," Karter gushed. And then all of the sudden, right before we exited her house Autumn called,"Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Dane burst out laughing as we walked to his chevy pickup. I also couldn't help but laugh, knowing that there wasn't many things that Autumn wouldn't do.
