I open my eyes and turn my body so my back is lying on the ground. My eyes came to focus on the branches covered in green leaves above me. I got up and decided to take a swim in the lake just in case I didn't come across a lake or any source of water for that matter. I began to think about my parents. Did anyone come and rescue them? What about my friends? I didn't notice the tears that began to flow from my eyes. I wipe them away, trying to think and stay positive. I can't give up now. I grab my backpack and begin walking.
It's been a while since I've eaten or had anything to drink and I'm starting to feel dizzy. I found a long brown stick on the side of the road and decided to grab it to steady myself as I keep walking.
I was walking slowly as my legs were beginning to feel like jelly but I kept moving. When I saw a black thing moving forward towards me, I thought I'd begun seeing things. I rubbed my eyes with my hands and sure enough there was a small black snake moving across the road so I began to walk quietly but faster towards a safe distance.
I couldn't kill it because I only had a stick so I just left it hoping I wouldn't regret it. My stomach grumbling, I checked my bag to see if there was any food left, luckily there was a bit of the chocolate biscuit left at the bottom of the bag. I grab it and munched away hoping to satisfy my stomach.
Thoughts came up of all the food I was really missing; I crave right now cold icy water to drink and a big bowl of cookie dough ice cream.
I found a bus shelter in the distance so I decided to sleep in there tonight. I reach the bus stop and collapse on the ground, falling in a deep sleep.
