No matter if you're male or female we all get insecure about something. Sometimes it's your hair, your body shape, nose and even your clothing. We all get super insecure when we see someone who's prettier. You kind of just bring your self-esteem down just by looking at them. It's not that you want to be like them but you noticed that they have something that you don't have. Then you compare yourself to them and make yourself feel even worse.
The worst thing is when others point out your imperfections. They just carelessly make fun of something that you're aware of. It's like "wow thanks for reminding me of my flaws!"
People can be so heartless that they don't know the harm they're doing. I've had that happen to me quite a few times and it isn't a nice feeling. It hurts when others taunt you for your imperfections. That just ultimately brings you down and makes you feel even more insecure.
The trick to not letting others make you lack confidence is to not let them effect you. The funny thing is that the people who bring you down also have their imperfections which makes it hypocritical. You can make fun of a girl's hair when your hair looks like a tumbleweed on fire. Oops I went there.
Bringing someone down doesn't make you a better person. At the end of the day pointing out someone's imperfections won't fix theirs or yours. It's an act of pure stupidity.
Getting off topic here!
Another thing is, don't complain to others about your insecurities. It's fine to do it sometimes but not all the freakin' time! It gets tiring when all someone does is talk about their insecurities. We ALL have our own insecurities to worry about. Constantly having to hear about someone else's gets boring.
Anyways when I'm insecure I get sad and don't even want to talk to anyone. There are days where I don't want anyone to see me and then there are days where I feel confident. We all have our good and bad days. Sometimes you just want to get rid of those insecurities. It may seem like an impossible thing to do and it actually isn't when you learn to love yourself. Learning to accept the way you are takes time. When you learn to accept who you are what others think of you doesn't bother you. I have a long way to go until I finally accept my imperfections.
I'm willing to take the journey!

Yay for first update of the year!
I feel like I was all over the place with this chapter. I'm sitting alone in my room cracking up at the tumbleweed joke. I know some of you might disagree with some of the stuff I said but that's honestly how I feel. As people in 2012 used to say, "YOLO!"
PEACE OUT! ✌️
