The Supernatural Games: Dark Circuit

Part III - Chapter 11: Life as We Live It

Chase and I enter President Snow's mansion for the Tribute Dinner Party. Both of us is wearing all-black and walking arm in arm.

" This brings me back. I met Quinn by the bar this day last year. " I say, my mind shifting back to when Quinn and I first officially met. I remember she was wearing a beautiful sapphire gown and her hair was wavy. She then got drunk and me and Chase saved her from embarrassing herself in front of the paparazzi.

" I know. Let's try to make some allies, okay? " He faces me. I nod my head slowly and he gives me a peck. He then walks away to go mingle. I relive history by going to the bar. To my surprise, the same guy that was bartending last year is still here.

" Oh my god, you're still here! " I exclaim. He chuckles and puts his dishrag on his shoulder.

" You know it. I'm sorry for what happened to your blonde friend last year. She would've been a really good drinking partner. " He pours me a glass of wine, which I didn't order but I would like to have it anyway. I take the glass and drink it all up.

" I know she would. Thanks for the drink. " I say, placing the glass down and walking over to the ballroom. Everyone is dancing. President Snow didn't confront me but he just stared at me with his deadly eyes. Unexpectedly, I bump into someone. " So sorry! " I then become face to face with the Buffy Summers, the most memorable slayer in all of history. She has to be one of my heroes.

" It's cool, kid. Make sure to check your surroundings because you never know when the enemy might strike. " Buffy winks at me and walks away from me. She's basically one of the best people in the world. Should I fan girl here and now? No, totally unprofessional.

So, I didn't make any allies tonight. Maybe tomorrow at training? All I know is that Chase socialized with many victors so I bet he made some allies. Before me, Chase and Elliot got to our penthouse, we had a run in with Tori Vega, the famous witch from District 3. Tori stripped down in front of us and I tried to avoid watching the show. She literally got butt-naked and Elliot got really excited. Tori's stripping was very unlady like. Damn, I'm sounding like Adelaide.

I enter my room and smile at how it is how I left it. I slip out of my black dress and take a shower in my capsule. After 10 minutes, I change into my pajamas. Before I go to sleep, I sit on the sofa and look at my photos on my phone. My phone service doesn't work because tributes aren't allowed to call home at all. Plus, this place doesn't get wifi.

There is one picture with Sierra and I at the mall before I was involved in the Supernatural Games. It was a selfie that I remember taking while we were at Kohl's. Then there is a family photo from 2 Christmases ago. What amazes me is how we all look so happy. That was the time when Leo and Tasha joined the family.

" Looking at old photos? " Chase asks, entering my room and closing the door behind him. I shake my head yes and he sits next to me, joining me in looking through them. He puts his arm around me and I place my head on his chest. Being like that for a while, we both fell asleep.

I hear a really loud trumpet sound and Chase falls off from the sofa. I noticed that Adelaide is playing the trumpet so badly I wanna choke her. Chase holds onto his ears due to his sensitive bionic hearing.

" Wakey wakey kids. I hope you two didn't do anything inappropriate on that $10,000 sofa. " She yells. We didn't do anything at all.

" Breakfast is ready so you two better get ready. Training day is today! " Adelaide leaves while playing the trumpet.

Chase leaves my room so we both can get ready. I take a shower and get dressed in my training uniform in my capsule.. The training uniform is the exact same as last year's. Putting my hair in a high ponytail, I walk out of my bedroom to the dining room.

" Morning, sunshine! How was your sleep? " Elliot asks, chewing on his scrambled eggs.

" Elliot. Nice effort for trying to care! " I say sarcastically, taking my seat and having breakfast served to me. As Chase and Adelaide came for breakfast, Elliot starts going over today's training.

" Make those other victors jealous, okay? You two are bionic so show them whatcha got. " He says. How we gonna make them jealous anyway? These people are skilled and more experienced.

The training center is high-tech and more advanced. Victors are already training when me and Chase arrived.

" I'll be at fire making. " Chase tells me, giving me a pat on my shoulder and walking away to the fire-making station, which has only two others victors. I decide to go to combat like I did last year. Just to see how I will fail.

No instructor. Just 3 other victors. All of them were just waiting for a fourth member. There was Buffy Summers, Tony Chiccolini, and Damon Salvatore.

" Hey! You're Bree Davenport! " Tony smiles, pointing at me with surprise. Wow. You do one stunt in the Games and you're a famous celebrity because of it.

Instead of answering to Tony, I get into position and tighten my fists. The three of them run for me and I start superspeeding around them. I throw punches and actually pin down the Buffy Summers. She was tough but I was way faster. I kick Damon in the stomach and actually snap his neck. Damon falls onto the ground unconscious and Tony throws a punch to my face. Ouch. Furious, I use my vocal manipulation of a loud siren and yell at Tony. The werewolf holds onto his ears and I knock him down to the ground. Guess I won.

I can't believe I just attacked three victors. As I walked out the combat station, I've gathered everyone's attention. They look at me in shock and I go over to the corner to get a drink of water. Suddenly, Lilly Costa, a victor from District 2, comes toward me. She is the only victor to still live from the first 5 Supernatural games. I actually learned about her in History class.

The thing is, she's mute. In her Games, her voice box was damaged from some magic voodoo so she lost her voice. The way she speaks is by sign language. Good thing is that Mr. Davenport taught Chase, Adam and I sign language for about a year.

In sign language, Lilly tells me that what I did was really impressive. I reminded her of herself when she was my age. Full of beauty and fire.

I respond by saying thank you and ask her about how were the Games like for her. She told me she didn't kill anybody and had a lover from another district in the Games. It was a huge controversy during the 4th Supernatural Games. Her lover died while protecting her and she still holds onto his bracelet. Too add to that, he was also bionic. But his bionics wasn't as good as mine is now. Besides that, Lilly is not shown as violent person at all. She is all about peace and happiness. Something that Panem really needs.

For the rest of training day, all I could think about how I'm going to survive these Games. I may have defeated three victors in a combat match but in the Games, hell will no doubt break loose. They may not go easy on me. I know for a fact that they will want to destroy me as I get off that platform.
