She first met him in Duelist Kingdom. Where her career was launched in Duel Monsters. A real test of her skills. It was simple,really. Kick everyone's asses until you've done it enough to gain entrance into the castle and face the boss man,Pegasus;The rich inventor of Duel Monsters and creator of the Duelist Kingdom tournament.

That was my original plan anyway.

I admit at that time,I was low. I played dirty. I used tricks and facades to win most of my duels. It was really quite pitiful. I didn't care who I used or tricked as long as I ended up getting what I wanted. I counted that as a victory. Until she met Jounouchi and his friends.

It was on the boat to duelist kingdom when they met. Jounouchi and Yugi were talking and I,like everyone else was more than excited to meet Yugi. He was known internationally as he kid who beat Seto Kaiba. Multi-Billionaire and Duel Monsters Champion.

I wrote Jounouchi off as a loser right away,I was sure he wouldn't make it. That's why I challenged him to a duel. An unfair one. I used a tactic where I knew what my cards were when I couldn't see them. In the end he beat me. Reality check. He told me about honor and pride. He said he won because his friends were cheering him on. But after all I did, he looked at me respectively.

More than that,But in my time of need they were all there for me.

She looked up to see the worried face of Jounouchi looking at her.

"Y-Yes?" She choked out. God I'm losing it,I never get lost in thought.

"We're leaving" he said,"We were just discussing it..are you okay Mai-"

I dismissed his concerns. "Where are we going?" I asked.

He sighed. "To see Odion".
