What happened?

It felt so cold, few droplets of water bounced of his face with his eyes now slowly opening but still laying face up on the concrete ground. It was dark and an offensive smell like that of a dumpsite filled the air.
"Derek! Derek! Stephan is awake", a voice whispered.
"Hey buddy, hope you had a good nap, because that's about as much sleep you're gonna get for a while", another voice whispered closely.
Gradually sitting up from the ground was Stephan, he recognized the voices to be that of Lena and Derek respectively.
Still dazed in the sleep zone he asked sluggishly
"Where are we?"
"We don't know that yet, but my best guess is not in Michael's house" Derek replied.
With this Stephan started to notice his surroundings although dark, the room was luminous by  little rays of light from high end of the room.
"Doesn't that mean we have been kidnapped"
"I don't really know because i also can't explain how we got here"
"Have you tried climbing up there", point to the vent emitting light.
"Well i have tried but it's to high up for me---"
"DEREK!", their conversation was cut short by Lena's scream. With both Derek and Stephan making behind turn they asked in unison,
"What is it??"
In a shaky voice and almost as if she was gonna cry, she said to them
"We are not alone, someone--no something is here with us"
With emergence Derek called for them to back up against the wall facing the direction of the *something*.
"Where are others, they might be playing a prank on us who knows?", Stephan said starting to tremble also.
"I'm not sure you noticed considering you have been sleeping all these while, nothing is as it used to be here, in simple terms nothing is normal here".
Stephan was confused he had some questions but was too shocked and afraid to utter a single word. Lena was saying prayers under her breath. In a single move they all caught a glimpse of the creature, Lena suppressed her urge to scream by putting her hands firmly on her mouth, while Derek kept on backing them away with his two hands spread out.

The 15year olds were totally out of options, should they grab the creature or wait for it to make a move. They couldn't clearly see the creature but it wasn't shaped like a human being, it had a large head, tiny forehand and a bigger hind legs, it hopped in movement and had a very visible green eyes which troubled Derek the most. 30minutes had gone by with the kids proceeding with caution, the creature turned around and ran into what looked like a passage way.
"Maybe it was scared too" Derek thought.
With the tension eased up now, the 3 of them stood there staring at each other, they were all thinking the same thing, this creature has possibly showed them the way out or may lead them to more trouble. But they all knew they had no choice.
