IN THE HOUSE OF THE ROYAL LORDS OF THE HIGH HEAVENS

After another judgement, the angels are arriving at home.

Juminel – That was quite the ceremony my love.

Tevanel – Thank you my dear. It concerns me that our people might be losing their way. Everyday more and more angels are starting to lose their sense of duty. We are superior creatures, and should always behave like such.

Anorsel – You're right father, you always are.

Amanthiel – Was that really necessary..? Just for skipping work for a day he deserved to be cast out..?

Tevanel – Amanthiel, I've tolerated your nonsense long enough. Speak like this again and the consequences you'll suffer will be similiar to those of a convict! A high lord must never speak of such unthinkable blabbery.

Juminel – Listen to your father dear. Wouldn't want anything to happen, would we?

Anorsel looks pleasantly satisfied at Amanthiel as he gets reprimanded by their parents.

Amanthiel – Alright, I'll be in my room.

Tevanel – Make sure you're not late for dinner. The servants will serve the meal in half an hour.

AT AMANTHIEL'S ROOM

I need to escape. Everyone seems to put duty above happiness, and pretend to be happy by fulffiling their duties even if they don't agree with the duty itself. It's like they're blind to an even higher truth that they don't even know exists.

As Amanthiel thinks, he starts to hear steps climbing the stairs to his room.

Juminel – Amanthiel honey, dinner is served.

It's now or never! I got to escape this madness! But how?!

Juminel – Amanthiel?!

Oh fuck this –

Just then, Amanthiel smashes into the window of his room and shatters it completly. As he falls from the heights, he spreads his wings and flies towards the dimensional gate leading to Earth. From the top of the house Anorsel screams.

Anorsel – HE'S RUNNING AWAY!! GUARDS!! DON'T LET HIM LEAVE!!

Tevanel – FOOLISH BOY! IF YOU LEAVE I WILL NEVER ALLOW YOU BACK!!

A flock of angels rushes to apprehend Amanthiel, but they are too far to get to him in time.

That's it! I'm almost there!

Amanthiel rushes through the gate and reappears on the other side at the far edge of Earth's atmosphere. The guards can't follow him outside Heaven, as they would be considered to be tainted by the human realm. Amanthiel is finally safe... but he still needs to land, and gravity soon kicks in.

How do I stop now?! I can't fly fast enough to counter the pull at this point! Prepare for impact!! –
