In the aftermath of their victory, Leo is healing as much of their injured supporters as he can, before joining the rest of the people who are celebrating the dawn of a new Era for angels. The angels talk among themselves for a while before approaching the group, addressing Amanthiel.
Male Supporter 1 – Now that your father is gone, we need a new leader. Will you rule Heaven in his stead?
Amanthiel - I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but this is no longer my home. I have found my place beside people who are trully worth fighting with, and for.
Leo - And you don't need a king, a ruler, or an overlord. What you need is a democracy. You need to implement a system that allows you to count everyone's opinions on a certain matter, so you can make decisions together, and everyone responsible for themselves should be allowed to vote, no exclusions.
Female Supporter 1 – That sounds like something that would make this fight worth it. We can't thank you enough!
Male Supporter 2 – But how will we put such a system in place?
Vance – Maybe I can stay to assist you with that task.
Everyone else in the group turns to Vance, surprised.
Lucia – For real Vance?
Vance – Yes... I think so. Look, I adore you guys, and I really value our friendship. But here, I have a chance to do something that matters. Something that matters to me. To change something that has been stiffling the voices of so many people for such a long period of time... I think it's what I'm meant to do.
Annie – You know we'll always support you Vance. If that's what you really want, then that's what you should do.
She places her hand on Vance's shoulder for a moment before stepping back.
Leo – Plus, there's no reason for us to not keep in touch.
Amanthiel – And if you ever need help, just say the word. We'll be there.
Kai – We'll miss you V. But lets make sure not to miss each other for too long at a time.
Vance – Thanks guys. I'll miss you all too. But... I still need to know if they'll accept me as their "teacher"... - He gestures the quotes.
The crowd cheers in acceptance of Vance's help.
Vance – I guess that means they do.
Lucia – Make us proud Vance.
The group shares one last group hug and returns home, without Vance, through Heaven's portal, which is no longer used for "punishments".
BACK AT THE HOUSE
Kai raids the kitchen for soda and snacks, and sets them on the coffee table in the living room. After everyone has taken the longest shower in their lives, they gather on the couches, eating, drinking and talking.
Leo – I'm exhausted.
Lucia – Tell me about it.
Annie – I do feel tired, but not sleepy.
Kai – That's normal, we just got home from a literal coup on Heaven – He puts a lot of emphasis on the word "Heaven".
Amanthiel – We really did that didn't we?
Lucia – Yeah, I'm still assimilating the past month.
Annie – This last battle was fun though. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Leo – Honestly. Same.
Kai – We're good at it too.
Amanthiel – So... what's next?
Leo – Well, I'm gonna finish Calculus. We haven't been attending classes, but presence isn't mandatory right?
Kai – Nah, I'm probably gonna skip the rest of the semester and finish the subjects in exams.
Annie – Same. It's easy to cheat when you have powers that allow you to conceil cheat sheets. I haven't used them before, but desperate times right?
Lucia – Yeah, I think the four of us are going to need it. What about you Amanthiel?
Amanthiel – I don't know yet. I have all the time in the world to think of something though. But somehow, I have a feeling that our adventures aren't finished yet.
Leo – Maybe not. But let's take it one step at a time.
Amanthiel – I do know that I need a human name though. If I'm to blend in here, I can't have people calling me Amanthiel.
Kai – What about Amiel? Like that guy from BA's Test Kitchen?
Annie – I love their channel! And it's close to his name, but shorter and more human.
Lucia – Or Kyle. Short and simple.
Leo – I like both, but maybe Amanthiel has another in mind?
Amanthiel – I don't actually. I really loved both names! But I think I'm gonna go with Kyle. – he thinks for a moment – Kyle Harding.
Leo – Well nice to meet ya then Kyle.
Kyle (Amanthiel) – He laughs – I'm ready for my new life.
Annie – What time is it?
Lucia – 8:30pm.
Annie – Well, I'm ready for some dinner. Wanna help me Lucy?
Lucia – Yeah, I'm starving as well.
They get up and go to the kitchen
Kyle (Amanthiel) - I'm going to tidy my room before dinner.
Kyle (Amanthiel) goes to his room.
Kai – What about us, want to pick a show to watch later on Netflix before we go set the table?
Leo – You know I do.
They share a quick kiss before choosing a show and then set the table in the dining room. The group then rejoins and has dinner together.
For the rest of the school year, Leo, Lucia, Annie and Kai finish college and get their degree. Kyle (Amanthiel) travels to Heaven a couple times to check on Vance and the angels, and they seem to be doing better than they could've imagined.
Kai and Leo decide to share a room and their relationship grows more loving every day. They watch several seasons of multiple shows, go to an amusement park because they both love ferris wheels and cotton candy, play videogames together and watch the premiere of Black Widow's movie on the movie theater (Autor's Note: *cries in Marvel stan*).
Lucia opens her own online fashion store, which has already gathered a lot of followers on social media and some customers aswell.
Annie spends most of her free time watching cooking shows on YouTube and modeling for Lucia's clothing.
Kyle (Amanthiel) decides to patrol around both Heaven and Earth as he is suspicious that something might still be afoot. And he might be right.
