Kai and Leo wake up early in the afternoon. Leo wakes up only a few minutes before Kai, who is sleeping in his arms with a blissful expression. Soon, Kai sleepily opens his eyes.
Leo – Hey there...
Kai – I still can't believe I get to wake up and see your green eyes first thing in the day...
Leo – Says the most beautiful man I've ever met...
They nuzzle in each other's shoulders lovingly.
Kai – We should go meet the others, we still have things to do...
Leo – Just five more minutes of hug time please?
Kai – No objections here.
They hold each other for a while longer and begrudgingly get up. They put their pajamas back on because it's the most comfortable clothing ever (writer's note: literally fight me on this).
They head to the kitchen and eating area, where Vance is making lunch with Annie's help, and Lucia is teaching Amanthiel how to prepare a cereal bowl.
Lucia - ...So you pour the cereal first, and then you poor the milk.
Amanthiel – Really? Angels always poured the juice first and then the lakhrams. They're like cereal but they glow and they don't have sugar.
Annie – So you mean to tell me they pour the milk first and then the cereal? And they think they're so pure? That's the "unholiest" thing I've ever hear.
Vance – And they use juice? How come we don't remember any of this?
Kai and Leo cheerfully enter the kitchen.
Leo – Good morning guys!
Annie – Good morning? It's 2pm.
Kai – Really? I didn't check the time.
Vance – Did you guys sleep well?
Lucia – No, that's not the question. Did you sleep?
Leo – Very funny Lucy. I shall have you know we slept plenty.
Kai – Well, we slept enough either way. Apparently I've been sleeping for a week.
Amanthiel – Speaking of our misfortunes, maybe we should start thinking about our next move?
Annie – Oh, but we weren't done prying on Kai and Leo's personal life!
Leo – You bitch!
Annie – You know it! – they both laugh – But okay, let's do that.
They sit around the table, eating homemade pizza made by Vance and Annie while Amanthiel chomps on a bowl of cereal delighted by the flavor, before he moves on to the pizza aswell.
Kai – Okay so, did I miss anything important?
Vance – Not really, we got the book and the spear, and now we're supposed to go on a maze so we can go to Heaven.
Lucia – But to do what exactly?
Annie – To help everyone that's oppressed by the stupid rules they impose. We need to set them free, even the ones who cast us out.
Leo – But how?
Amanthiel – We need to show everyone our strength. We must face The Court. Then when everyone sees they're not the all-mighty overlords they make themselves look, people who are and have been supressed by their corrupt laws won't be affraid to take a stand against them.
