I keep finding job. I applied in small companies, and sadly there's no hiring this time. I maybe bathed a bad luck! I only shook my head and continued walking in this long road. Since in the morning I started walking and enduring the heat of the sun.

I crossed the other side of the road and I didn't noticed that there's a car approaching. I just heard the loud beep and afterwards I felt it hit my legs. It's not too strong but it hurts my legs. I sat down because of the pain and touched the aching part.

"Are you alright?" A familiar voice asked. I looked up and I was stunned for a moment when I saw the owner of the voice.

"Kaitlyn." I said. It's been years and her face hadn't changed at all. She still looked beautiful and still having her baby face.

"Are you okay?" She asked with a concern.

"Yes." I forced myself to stand up and started to walk while limping.

"Wait, Lisa." She hold my wrist to stopped me. I looked at her. "I'm going to drop you off to your destination."

"I'm just gonna walk." My gaze lowered to her hand on my wrist, she quickly pulled away, embarrassed.

"I insist. That's the least I can do." She said. I don't have a choice but to say yes because my leg really hurts. I sat on the passenger seat and we drove off.

"How are you?" She asked while focusing on the road.

"I'm good." I said.

"That's good. You changed a lot. You look even hotter the last time I saw you." She giggled.

"Thank you." That's all I said.

"You're so formal it's not like we don't know each other." She said to me. "Have you eaten?"

"Not yet." I answered.

"Let's go grab lunch then." She invited.

"I think I'll pass." I said.

"Come on, Lisa. We just saw each other. Let me treat you a lunch." She said softly.

"Kait, someone might see us." I said. I don't want any trouble. I almost got killed by her husband when he found out about Kaitlyn and I's relationship. Kaitlyn just threatened him that if he would kill me, Kaitlyn would reveal all the nasty things he did in public and here I am still breathing.

"They don't know us and we're not doing anything wrong." She said. She turned the car back to the restaurant we passed. We got out of the car and entered the restaurant.
She ordered food.

"Married?" She pointed the ring on my finger.

I smiled. "Yes."

"What a lucky girl." She said. "Planning to have kids?"

"Yeah, but not now. How about you, how's your marriage?" I asked her.

She pouted. "Still the same. We don't love each other anymore. I feel like our marriage is just for show."

"Why don't you just two separate?" I asked.

She sadly shook her head. "He won't let me go."

She often said that to me way back when we're still together that she's not happy with her husband and anymore. Her husband has a lot of women and sometimes he's hurting Kaitlyn physically.

"Enough about me." She forced a smile. "Where a you going anyway?" She changed the subject.

"Just roaming around. I'm finding a job." I said.
