About his life:
He was born in the parallel universe and used a transport to beam to Earth, where he lived his life and left his family behind. He found a job at Coal Hill, became a teacher, and has been there ever since. He met the Doctor while he was at work. They fought Autons together and the Doctor offered him a trip on the TARDIS afterwards. He smiled and headed out on his adventure.
