"You'd better start explaining why I needed to find out from the agency that you're signed as backups for Jihoon's pre-tour concert?" Yoongi said seriously towards Hobi who was opening the noodles he had brought to the studio filling the table with different colors, textures, and tastes for their enjoyment.

The younger boy smiled and shook his head to the side. He wasn't caught off guard by Yoongi's bluntness because he expected the truth to come out even sooner than it did. He split his chopsticks in two and started eating, giggling in the process. Although Yoongi appeared to be mildly annoyed, Hoseok arranged his cap while relaxing in the armchair. He missed sitting down in Yoongi's studio and having lunch together, so he took it upon himself to drive there as soon as he could so that his friend wouldn't use the "too busy" excuse.

He took his time in answering Yoongi, faking an over the top interest in the food on the table. "Well... cause it's at Prism." He chewed loudly and continued "stage is small there, small venue... what was there to tell?"

Yoongi scoffed. "Yeah, but it's Jihoon. His Fall tour is selling out quite rapidly if I'm to believe Sasha. Heard he was invited to a venue in the UK," he replied thinking about all the bits of information that his manager, Sasha, had given when she also informed him that he was on the guest list and all the other producers of the album already confirmed for both the show and after-party.

Hoseok nodded without looking up and picked the most delicious food from the various boxes and containers. "I've heard. However, this is just the pre-tour event, I understand it's invitation-based, company centered." He said yet didn't notice how Yoongi stilled his chopsticks while pointing at him.

"And if you do a good job, they might call you to perform next to the core team on the tour," Yoongi pressed, amused by the way Hoseok's ears were getting redder and redder and by the lack of eye contact. "Admit it, you didn't want to jinx it!" His yell turned into full-blown laughter when the dancer hid his face with the back of his hand, clearly embarrassed and giggling like a maniac.

"Hoba, you're more superstitious than my grandmother was," Yoongi added with a grin. "That's why you called in the entire dance crew last Saturday although we were all at the party the night before," he mentioned, perfectly aware that there could have been no other reason.

They spent the next minutes comfortably eating, discussing the food occasionally, and chit-chatting about subjects of little importance. Hoseok and Yoongi had been the best of friends since they met at a random party thrown by seniors at the University they both went to. Yoongi had been as private as Jungkook in the past and it was Hobi's perseverance in befriending the serious kid with piercing eyes and a habit of speaking in barely audible whispers, that knotted the friendship. Most people would have given up the efforts of getting close to him, but Hoseok wasn't most people. He was by far the most passionate person Yoongi ever met, even more diligent than himself. Their careers meant so much to them that they became one with their craft. It was his seriousness that impressed the young music producer but as much as he was strict when it came to dancing, he was joyful and a sky-high extrovert.

It was because of Hoseok that Yoongi finally admitted he was bisexual. It happened once when they were having some beer by the river and reminiscing about high school. Somehow, Yoongi mentioned a guy and even if the narrative was unrelated to the attraction that he felt for that long-forgotten crush, Hobi picked up on it. He had his suspicions since the time he noticed how flared up Yoongi got at any sign of homophobia. The quiet kid transformed into a curse spitting machine if anybody dared to say anything even remotely derogatory.

Once, in a big auditorium, a student arrived a few minutes late interrupting the most boring compulsory course Yoongi never imagined existed. If anything, the guy deserved a medal for even bothering to show up to the "Philosophical Understanding of Science and Technology" lecture. The professor sent him to a free spot while commenting on the green highlights and the guy's earrings. "Take off those earrings, boy. You look like a girl. I don't understand what you kids see in idols and their aesthetics. This look and behavior belong in SNU, not here."
