The school bell rang, and everyone rushed inside, jostling for a space inside the cramped assembly hall. No one wanted to be outside, not when there was sweet air conditioned goodness in there.
I didn't bother with the principal's speech. I don't think anyone did, honestly. I caught one of the teachers on the phone, nodding like a bobblehead to make it seem like she was listening. I grinned as I thought of the potential blackmailing I could do, mentally storing her face in my head so I could have a little chat with her about it later.
School speeches are boring. They always are, there's no getting around that. It's the same content every single time, *puts on old, croaky voice to imitate the principal* 'Stay safe and keep your seatbelts on and don't get hit by a car or drown or get abducted by aliens or do anything or have fun or drown or blah blah blah blah-' *You can hear the sound of snoring.
Oh, sorry. I was so bored from just thinking about the speech that I fell asleep. I must've fallen on top of the keyboard, hope I didn't type anything on accident...
